I do realize that I could have asked this in the forum "Is there real vampires on this site or just posers" which I found quite interesting but I was just wondering with the condition of porphuria is there a medication that you can take to help you out or is it just something you have to deal with?
Saying that you could have asked in the other thread seems to imply the vampirism is in some way linked with porphyria. I have posted this link before in reponse to this question..and here I post it again for the common benefit:

Thank you for the link and I am sorry that I do have a life of my own and do not get a chance to read as many fourms as I would like. But I just find it a simple question comming from a simple person that would like to know.
I didn't solicit an apology, I just thought I would add that peice of information. Nothing else was implied.

I take medication to help deal with my vampiric tendencies. Its called Xanax.
XANAX has nothing to do with "vampiric tendencies"!!!!!. It's two different categories of thought.
Thank you, Darkthrone. I hope she wasn't linking vampirism and mental disorder. Not only is vampirism itself completely unrelated to mental illness, but neither is porphyria, the topic of this thread!
It depends on the type of Porfhyria you're dealing with. Yes, there are some medications you can take, but it all depends on the "enzime" that is causing the defficiency.
Pobaably you want to read this:

Then again. This has nothing to do with vampirism.
