Many people belive in big foot, lochness, and many other creatures . Many are critical due to lack of dead body or no droppings.

What could be a reason for us never findinganything, but yet we still hear of sightings?

Picked this up on the net;
"Big Foot" is an alleged species of ape/man- like creatures, that have been seen by credible witnesses in the wilds of the North American continent, and all over the world, often leaving huge footprints and hair samples behind.

Its been spotted in every state of the Union, except Delaware and Hawaii, and there are organizations all over the country that keep track of various information gathered on the Big foot sightings and personal experiences with this creature. There have been so many sightings of this elusive creature, including castings of its actual footprints that the evidence of its existence is very strong.

Also known as "Sasquatch" by the Indians of British Columbia, "Oh-mah-ah" by the northern California Huppa tribe, "Skunk Apes or Napes" in the southern United States, as "Seehtiks" in the Cascades, "Memegwico" by other American Indians, Yetis in Alaska/ Asia, and Almas in Russia, these creatures have been described as being between 6 and 9 feet in height, that walked gracefully, in an upright position, in smooth strides with knees bent. Weight of the creatures seen has been estimated to be between 300 to 600 lbs. They have muscular bodies, massive shoulders, and are covered with short to long hair. Their facial features are human, and the skin on their faces, hands and feet, which are distinct and human-like, are dark and leathery. Their heads, which are peaked at the back, sit right on their shoulders. In some sightings Big Foot has a jutted chin, heavy brow ridges, a receding forehead, and large, square white teeth. The female of the species has large breasts.

Family groups of these creatures and individuals as well have been sighted and described so often in the Oregon - Washington area that there are Big Foot Informational Centers in both Oregon and Washington, that keep track of all the sightings and evidence of this undiscovered species, thought by some to be a homonid that avoids human contact, keeping to themselves in their wilderness habitat, areas that have enough wildlife and vegetation to support them.

For more info, go to http://www.ratsnest.net/bigfoot/library/index2.htm to find out more about Big Foot in the United States.

Reports in the mountains of near twelve foot, white furred humanoids.

They were already found, we were looking on the wrong continent.

I lost the link to a grand discovery of a large primate species found in the Himalayas. A grand creature thought never to have existed.

People want to believe in something not normal...they don't exist but in the minds of people who live in a fantasy world. If they did truly exist...with all the modern tech we have, they would have been found by now.

It is called mass paranoia or mass hysteria.Until Close Encounters of the Third Kind...people called aliens Martians, then started calling them grays. No one can think for themselves anymore and tend to play follow the leader in these cases.

in my mind trying to find them is a waist of time, if they wanted to be found they would let us find them. On the flip side of that i tend to think that ppl who look for them have an over active imagination

This shy and elusive creature subsists on a vegetarian diet, but unlike simians to which it has been compared, it does not drop its waste hither and thither. Not only does it prefer a concealed location to defecate, but like it digs a hole and then covers it. On rare occasions its droppings have been found secreted beneath broken branches. Because its fecal matter so closely resembles that of humans, no one has investigated further. www.paranormalscat.com

I've heard tell of such explanations of human-like mourning for the dead and the utilization of similar burial rituals to ours or the existence of a yet undiscovered area akin to an elephant grave yard. Except for you know, the Big 'Uns.

Maybe it is mistaken as that of another animal, many oversee an object due to the fact they are looking in another direction or for certain things.

I do this when I cannot find my car keys.

if an assesment of all sighting accounts ( testimony) was done, out of say 100 one would have to eliminate about 75 as fully fabricated tales, 15percent as ( as cadre mentions) seeing something that led someone to conclude they saw a Bigfoot, and the remaining 10 percent would be a base for sight exploration, and florensics.

When a person just makes up an experience, there are hallmarks.

A person who concludes they witnessed something based on actual observations does not have those hallmarks in their testinomny. These are people that often sight hoaxes, or something extraodinary, there are often other corroberating witnesses as well.

The government could never keep such a secret, it involves contract employees, and no one is naive enough to believe that contract employees don't " leak" information.

I must find the YouTube footage of the big foot tech guy.

If there is such a thing, then i congratulate them on being a hell of a lot smarter than we are by not getting caught thus far....

Seriously, i believe in a lot of things, but somehow my gut feeling says, "how can something like that exist?" If it does, why do we always end up with fuzzy photos of some tall blob walking through the woods?

Then again, who says that it does or doesn't exist? How will we ever know for sure?

The answer is simple. They steal colostomy bags and catheters from medical supply houses in the dead of night just so their "droopings" and "showers" can never found or detected. Then they place them in bright red medical waste bags and throw the bags in a nearby medical waste disposal site. Then no one is the wiser. After all they are very intelligent but very shy creatures and they know that if their existence is ever revealed to humans they will be hunted down by man for sport.

In that way they are kind of like the aliens that roam among us.

This reminded me of the movie The Fourth Kind. I don't know. I was disappointed when I found out that the footages weren't real. But the whole concept of aliens and abduction was surreal. Also, if you think about it, time comes into play. If it were to be real, the aliens calculation of time would be so different from that of ours.. It was kind of mind boggling. Evidence is there. It has probably not been verified for some reason. I believe some beings do exist. Yeap.

Any sighting is likely to be a bear or some other very large animal.
Ape man? No kind of ape or human could survive out in the wilderness like that.
Does is hibernate? Or go back to a little wood cabin?

chicka,

I think they go back to their cabins in the woods, many sightings were in fact mountain men dressed in furs, giving the impression of the ape man, This is my conclusion of bigfoot.

Now nessie on the other hand i am still working on the thoughts of that creature.

I don't think Big Foot is ape, I think it's possibly Werewolf, as to why it is sighted but no evidence is every found.

As far as droppings, water source is almost impossible unless in captivity, such as a tank or fish bowl.

Many animals dig holes and cover they're feces, if Big Foot is an intelligent creature, it may do this as well.

So I guess until someone invents a pooper sniffer device to locate feces, we'll just have to keep searching for the answers.

The mountain man angle is an interesting one. Perhaps they are mountain men from 200 years ago who are caught in a time warp.

You people disappoint the "Creature." This is supposed to be a sight devoted to thinking supernatural beings that feed off the blood of the living (which, by the way, is a very poor substitute for "Food" seeing as how it is so unstable once out of the body, just ask any blood worker). If we believe in vampires (real or fantasy, it is not for me to decide) then why is it so impossible to believe in Bigfoot, Sasquatch, Shaawonokie (Florida Skunkape), Yeti, Yowie...the list is endless. There is plenty of annecdotal evidence, lots of fraud, some mis-sightings, outright deceptions, and...a few sightings which cannot be explained away as campfire stories (which I happen to love by the way). How many of you find bodies all around in the woods when out hiking. For that matter how many of you frequent the woods. The fact is that life and death are bedmates which leave no stone unturned. I spend lots of time in the woods and have never seen a dead bear (lots of live ones though).
Let me pose a new theory; There's enough Wiccans in here that should embrace this concept. What if these strange humanoids are elementals, the eyes and ears of mother nature. that would make them akin to spiritfolk. They move around freely but when spotted or pursued they meld back into the planet whenever they wish. Indiams have reported seeing them move into rock walls (and not through cave entrances either). I've heard that a couple places but can't tell you where that info is. So being elemenatal would mean that when their life is done they cease to exist...period.
Another thought is that they exist on our planet at a different vibrational frequency so that we never connect with them, just get brief glimpses as the vibrational paths clash. Just some theoretical physics...food for thought.
Now I'm not syin' they is and I ain't sayin' they ain't but maybe we're going about looking for them the wrong way.
Have a Great Weekend!!!

I read a few posts about people not believing in their existence. I also agree, but no matter how long we repeat that mantra, a time may come where we could have one breathing down our neck. I don't feel it is a case of wanting these things to exist, but more a being prepared for anything and everything.

I agree with Wolfman and Dab, people who live in boring lonely places often go mad and become delusional.
The book "The lord of the Flies" demonstrates this human trait amongst youngsters but it is also true of adults.

Virtually every remote region or tribe has tales of some sort of "Boogeyman".

Other locals get drunk and perpetuate myths as its great for tourism.

There is insufficient food in many of these habitats to support large animals.

Using "Holmes principles" one can therefore deduce they either do not exist or are not of this world.

Personally I think they are fictional but I used to think vampires were fictional so never say never.

Vampires are fictional and the "Others" are not boogeymen (oo, could you imagine that, these little guys running out of your nose, down your pantlegs where they leap onto somebody else and run up into their noses, they wouldn't leave any droppings either), they're Bigfoot, Yowies, Sasquatch, Skunkapes, Shaawonokie (same thing), Yeti,....and yes I did say it was possible that they are elemental in nature.
Who knows, but remember that until around 1910 Mountain Gorillas were "Bigfoot"-type animals to.

Hello Everyone:
Never was anything said about people being real or not so I truly believe you and your wife are real (never a doubt in my mind actually). I'm just saying that "Vampires", and yes I live in one of the large "Vampire" settings are just as fantastical a being as a Bigfoot. I keep an open mind to all but even though I've met hundreds of "vampiric Kin" (I even have one or two in my friend group) I have yet to meet a "real McCoy."
As always I do keep an open mind (even to the thought of "Real Vampires") but I don't necessarily believe there are any of the undead walking around feeding off the energy of the rest of us.
Now do I believe in people who are energy draining to hang around with, oh hell yeah. I know two of those myself. No argument about that whatsoever. The problem is that neither one of them is a vampire. That doesn't tip the scales in favor of this behaviour being exclusive to vampires.
Now, do I believe in "Vampire Kin???" Of course I do. I know several and have met hundreds through the movie industry, the club scene, through bands I've been in (Heavy Metal all the way baby) and through the horror convention scene (having met several Cam members over the years). I have no doubt of their existence or their "Lifestyle choices." I'm convinced, completely convinced of their reality. Hell I've met many a wonderful "Vampire Kin" here on the Rave.
But, in the end, I am an outdoorsman and I have seen a Florida Skunkape in the wild and I have yet to meet a bonafide, death certificate carrying vampire in person. The search continues.
Have a Great Day!!!

There is so much superstition involved in anything we talk about concerning things like Sasquatch, Yetis, Bigfoot or whatever you want to call them. There are pictures and even films taken of them and I guess all fakes because if they don't walk up to some scientist and introduce themselves, then they must all be the musings of delusional people, right?

I never use the term vampire kin and this is the first I have seen it but everyone has their own terms. Some consider themselves falling under the umbrella of otherkin but most do not. If your yardstick is geared toward the "scene" then you will be disappointed. People aren't looking for vampires but a creature of superstition and fiction that never existed that have been called by many names. I wouldn't like to meet some roaming revenant. This is all to do with not understanding the dying process. It does not resemble anything remotely akin to real vampires and it is a good way for them to be in the shadows with people searching all the time for pie-in-the-sky walking dead creatures of myth.

Good question, but don't know about the answer.

I do know that Danny saw a bigfoot here on the outskirts of town. He and a few other guys in the truck saw it. The bigfoot was in the ditch by the road, and when they slowed down to see what it was, it stood up with raised arms at them. The top of the bigfoot was at the level of their truck and that was in a 3 foot ditch. They took off real fast freaked out. That area is Boggy Creek. The creek runs through the town.
