The Ultimate Vampire Resource and Directory

I had a thread here recently about ancient lore of beings that take energy/blood/sex as a form of feeding. Today we call them vampires, but among other things, there is the legend of the succubus/incubus.


This thread is here to discuss legends and lore of an older sort...things that arent discussed often here on VR. The nephlim are discussed sometimes, but here is a chance to enlighten some that havent heard of them.
what other things in the bible (or other texts) support the existence of things we might call "vampire"?

I have stated before how the egyption goddess Sekhmet was called the "bloodeater" and killed and drank the blood of thousands in that legend.

Not to mention the hindu goddess Kali as well!

I would love to collect ancient lore/tales from many different cultures (american indian, summarian, celtic, chinese, etc).

So, pull up a seat, and share whatever lore you might have come across.
