can someone give me some advice on which are the best books to buy for spell casting and where the best place is to buy them and also the necessary candles, herbs, and stuff.
Sadly, this is not vampire related.
However as an answer to your query:

http://www.llewellyn.com/
This forum will be moved to Mascara for the time being. Hopefully those sites will help you out a bit.

I use alot of sage, I burn dry sage to cleanse my house from spirits or enitites.
That site has alot about whote and black magic. But beware on what you are trying to do. It can kick you in the butt at times ..lol
WoW! kewl STABB :) love it!
www.horrorfind.com
It also has alot of things flash, so there is quite alot around :)
A site that I use on occasion is www.spellsandmagic.com besides my Book of shadows for the solitary practicioner. That is a book that goes above and beyond and will tell you anything and everything you want to know, and it's easily bought at Barnes and Noble.
I also agree Ardaiya I have that book myself and it it wonderful. Good choice :)
I have a list of candles used for which situation in my journal.. It also depends on the experience of the caster weather or not a spell will work for you or not, plus there are many spells out there that are just crap.. trial and error you know...All I can suggest is becareful what you wish for cause you might just get it, but not always the way you intend to..
For the best results, you should create it yourself. It should be completely your intent and your energy. You can use resources to help you but it should come from the heart. Buying a spell can be dangerous. You never know what someone else has put into it. If it was as easy as picking up a book and a candle, anyone could cast a spell and the world would be in chaos.
you can find a good variety of books on witchcraft and spells in the new age section of most book stores
I am in agreement with so many that spoke out before me. There are some wonderful sites and books. Cunningham, Buckland just to name a few. And from what I can see here, there are so many that practice. You have all the answers you could possibly have. Just ask. Read and Research.
all the spells i use are in my mom's book. plus the ones i wrote myself... i've seen some in the Wiccan Handbook that seem to be good though.
watch out for some of the so called experts books, as some people find it funny to set little traps within the books. always make sure you understand a spell before you do it.
ooh ooh... I would like to add.. the best spell books are the ones made by your own two hands. :) Everything u do on ur own makes the spells alot more powerful. Yes get general idea of what things are used in spells or go out in the woods and take objects u find and meditate with them and see what u feel from the object. "what do i feel this can do?" and then meditate on the spell (concentrate on what u want to accomplish with the spell and write a verse for the spell) take the objects u collected and put them together in the manner u feel is right and if u have any remains from the items u collected use them to make paper or ink (you can find formulas on how to make paper or ink online using google) then the spells will be more powerful when reading the spell from the parchment, or with the ink that u made for that particular spell. Many experienced spell casters (celtic and the like) use this method to get the most out of their spells.
well, i know you can go to almost any bookstore and buy spell books, and www.llewellyn.com sells a bunch of books, calenders, all sorts of cool shit. you can look up "occult supplies" in the yellow pages and find out where to buy candles and shit too.
You may want to look online or in book stores about making ur own book of shadows.
You can buy candles at any store. They don't have to come from a metaphysical store. I buy my candles at the dollar store or Garden Ridge. Its the cleansing and energy I put into them, not where I bought them. As for herbs and such, check out your health food store. Some of them have your basic herbs. One thing that I ALWAYS have in my cupboard is sea salt. I use it for cleansing but I also use it for cooking! Its very healthy.
