I wish to continue this subject, if that is okay with everyone...I know there are new people to the forums that didn't see this thread and I want to see what they have to say on this subject...
Lately I've been having other odd sensations like the falling feeling described in the first one...I am trying to keep it under my control, but it doesn't seem to be working that well...
OBE, is one of the things in the (for a lack of better term) 'magical' world that fascinates me.
The steps in 'doing it' are just simple. BUT, of course, the application part's the kicker.
Though, it's interesting.
I have those...usually though it happens when I'm in a deep sleep and I wake up imediately...I usually drink hot green tea before I got to bed and ten minutes in meditation, then a nice hot shower usually keeps that from happening to me...even though there was once that it happen despite that and I woke up where I couldn't breathe and I was hale "in" and half "out. I could see myself struggling to breathe and yet I seemed to be there....kit's hard to explain but sometimes you just have to adapt and let it run it's course...
Wow - so you think you are having them by accident? I've tried many times, the most I've gotten out is my hand I'm not even sure I'm doing it right, you might be naturally able to manage it, you should try to have an OBE sometime, for some information go here: http://www.witchway.net/ritual/astral.html
I've had vivid dreams where I thought I was flying. At the time I sensed I was out of my body
We actually went over something similar to this in psych. Apparently during Stage 1 of sleep that feeling will happen, why I don't remember.
Ever stop to think maybe our naturall state is to be OOBE. Maybe our bodies are just temporary trappings until our minds fully awaken and accept how we were meant to exist, possibly as pure energy beings with no physical barriers ro hold us back. Perhaps people who have OOBE are closer to realizing the truth of our existance than the rest of us. And this is just a philosophical theory of mine on the subject, just something to think about.
Out of body experiences are natural to some people... they have higher sensitivity or they have problems with the"silver belt" (the silver belt is the one taht connects the body with the soul).
In parapsyhology is studied the possibility to kill someone by hitting the silver belt and ways to protect yourself from such hits.
I havent really had what you described, but i have had instances where i have felt that i am not where i was a moment before
Astral travel has always been fun for me. I remember once tho when i was in deep meditation while in a tub of water, my fast just above the water so i can breath I was so relaxed that i felt as tho i was floating in mid air. I remember rolling over and falling as though i rolled out of the tub onto the floor. I looked up and surely enough i did.. when i stood up and seen my body laying there still as can be i felt the shock of being pulled back in and just then i went under the water and took a deep breath. I will never do try that again..
