Here lately I have been noticing a
huge flood of new members joining the website and it seems that
none of them are even reading the site rules and they are
bitching about being forced inducted. I have even had one person
tell one of my ACM'S that apparently she had no clue about
what coven they wanted and she is going to get in trouble if she
forces him into the coven without his permission.
It would be a good idea to have a reminder message sent to all newbies reminding them they do not have a choice when it comes to joining covens or houses quoting the induction rules from the rule book.
These rules are:
Induction
Induction into any House or Coven is forced. You do not have a
choice as to whether or not you will be a member of a
House/Coven. An exception to this rule are members who hold the
rank of Sire. A Sire cannot be forcibly inducted. A Sire can join
any House/Coven (with the Master's permission) and leave any
House/Coven at any time. A Sire can also start their own Coven.
Your Master can sell or trade you to another House/Coven. You do
not have a choice if you will be sold or traded.
Induction Requirements
A perspective inductee must meet the following:
My thought on this is, why not just induct them and blind them until they know and understand the site rules.
They don't have a choice. No matter how mad this makes them, there is nothing they can do about it. They just won't have a very good time on the site.
Personally, I don't care if they have a good time or not. If they didn't read the site rules BEFORE making a profile, it's their own fault.
This is a simple rule.
I was inducted when I 1st hit the induction level.
I bit the bullet and rather enjoyed it, and made the best of it,
which was much easier for myself and the other members.
well, here I go with my two cents to the subject. Yes, the rules and regulation of VR is that members in Level 20 can be inducted into a coven, they like it or not. What make some members mad, is that they are Paying members, and to enjoy the site, they prefer to have the "choice" of picking their own coven. Now, about the problem that this can bring to a coven, well, a good drama. The blinding system always keep those members in confinement, until they are trade. But, almost nobody want those trouble or outspoken individuals.
I think everybody stands differently on the matter. Most nice covens don't force induct if the person wants to be in a particular coven. I know it's a rule for this website and people have to accept it whether they like it or not but it doesn't matter one way or another, they will still go to whatever coven they wish to. Why would anyone want to keep an unhappy coven member? If anything, I think it's one of the things that NEEDS to change.
Honestly, they should test the site out before becoming a paying member.
Forced induction should NEVER change.
