So I came across an interesting web site yesterday afternoon vampiricstudies
And I was curious if anyone else had seen this? If so..opinions? There seems to be quite a bit of information here and a rather unique look at vampiric culture. I cannot say on any of the accuracy as I am not and have never claimed to be vampiric myself.
One thing I especially wanted to point out on this site and applaud is the section on real predators. I think that the frank warnings and cases sited could be valuable if posted on many other sites, including this one.
I agree, she seems to know what she's talking about at the very least
might be interesting to ask her if a group from the rave could attend one of her chats as guests.
I was having trouble with the virus issue myself. It seems too close to some role play or other that has put together elaborate medical explanations for physical vampirism.
But at the same time I can't help but wonder if the site was something she did out of entertainment of if these are actual beliefs
It is a very interesting site and the lady has done a serious amount of research the part that makes me shudder is the real hunters section. That there are people killing others that they think are vampires
This site has some very different information, some not very beliveable but interresting all the same. The native american myth compilation was pretty riveting.
Well this is a heavy read..I do get the point of the virus however as all humans carry a bit of genetic material from all viruses we get if yoiu have a cold you carry its genetic code always with you not the cold itself there are many viruses able to attach themselves to our DNA not sure of a V5 virus itself as even being real but the concept is very basic
I enjoy the read...thank you for sharing this site with us. Very interesting.. spooky indeed about the vampire hunters; however, I do also have issues with the virus aspects.
I went to the site thinking it'd be stupid but when I started reading it I was stuck there for about an hour reading everything she had to say. I think it was very informative and well worth looking into.
Its an old site and i am glad shes still up and running I found her site a couple of years ago and like most vampire sites some build and stay others fade vampiric studies and sanguinarius.org are two of the longest running sites and they are very informational
A very interesting site... The bit about the real predators just goes to show how selfish some "people" can actually be...
I visited the site and bookmarked the page for further reading in the future. I was very interested in the part about Vlad The Impaler. I work with people from Romania and they get offended about what they consider misinformation put out about their not so good countryman.
Ahh, the legend of Vlad the Impaler... I believe he was an extremely good leader, but as all leaders were back then, very cruel as well.
But I don't think he was as evil as they say, just normal for the time. The ideas of justice in medieval times was vastly different to our notions now, the idea of the ruler being almost god were absolute.
So he was probably a very compassionate man toward those he loved, but ruthless toward those he would have been at loggerheads with.
Just a normal medieval ruler then really.
