I'm not sure the difference between something different and something real
paranormal stuff happens all the time, but people get critical saying "Science disagrees!"
well.... science is too young to understand it. Not long ago, science thought the world was flat, that witches were real and must die, etc.
Well, you have two eye witnesses. That's good enough for any courtroom murder case. Good enough for me.
What they saw? I don't know, I wasn't there.
And yea, people want to put their faith in science? Has science even figured out how to cure the common cold yet?
NO!
Probability says that more cases are simply people perceiving something wrong, or more today just a person fabricating a story to try to mystify, or shock their peers.
Sadly the whole account of what a person wants to relate is often so shoddy that it is droll to the point of pathetic.
If a person sees something one would reason that they would be far more descriptive, and lucid in their account.
So one would have to allow for such stories, and such even if one believed in paranormal beings projecting into
reality.
Science will keep climbing that mountain, struggling, sweating, shedding blood, but they will eventually reach the top, a plateau of sorts.
Pulling themselves up they breathe a sigh of relief only to see a mass troupe of men and women smiling and offering their hand.
There stand the philosophers , theologians and faithful.
And they say:
"What took you so long?"
Do not put your faith wholeheartedly in science for the foundations of said faith stem from the mystic arts. (ie. Herbalism, Alchemy, Hermetics, The Occult etc etc)
There is a place in this world for the worldly and the supernatural.
.. am questioning, as anyone with an inquiring mind should, tho that said, to my knowledgemy Father has always been truthful, to everyone he knows' and my Grandfather took pride in being honorific.,
When something is related to us by a trusted person we are apt to receive it with greater care. I understand how you place priority on your Kin Angelus.
How are we the people listening to a retelling to discern if your parent, or grandparent were spininng yarn to amuse, and spook you?
So many questions are brought up when a person declares an encounter, and how they handle those inquiries directly relates to how their account is received, sadly this is the reason so many fabricators opt for the "So, and so told me they saw such, and such..
I suggest a site titled Haunted Museum, a very interesting site relative to the history of spookery.
not to appear disengenuous Dabs, but I never heard the story 'bout my Grandfather till today.. I coupled that with my Fathers, to contextualize the question: ergo, I do not doubt the veracity of either story.
With all due respect, how could any of us possibly be able to adequately analyze the recounting of events we did not witness that happened years ago to other people whom we do not know that was much later told to you, someone we also do not know, that you are then retelling in your own words to us?
Just wondering...
I really don't see any discussion value here. There is not enough information.
