I posted a thread about this in my coven but I just wanted to post it here as well.


I wanted to post this thread to discuss seances.

In the Victorian period, they were tons of fradulent mediums who held these. When they were found out to be held by fradulent mediums, it left a "bad" taste in peoples mouth about these.

Since then, they seemed to have gained popularity again among the paranormal community.

I have never been in one, so I cant speak from personal experince.

But what I want to know is if you have been in one. Did you like it? Did it feel real? Would you do it again? Would you recomend it?

And even if you havent, or really dont even believe in seances, at least become a part of the conversation. Thats why we are on Earth. To learn from one another.

I have indeed and I enjoy it. Me and my mother are witches. We don't practice 1 religion. We go with everything, but we do follow most of pagan and wiccan ways. We do seances and rituals, practice spells and the 3 fold. Very amazing feeling and it's a good way to boost your psychic abilities. I may be young and all but I am very talented in my workings.

Yes I did back in the eighties. It can be very random and you don't need a medium really for a seance. In the Victorian era they were mostly "physical" mediums. Even though I have met numerous mediums I have never met one in my lifetime that was a physical medium where you would see apports and things like that or materializations.

I felt my wrists squeezed and we had certain entities speak through our medium who was a trance medium and through another. They can manifest through anyone in the circle actually. It was fun but I never had the urge to do it a second time. Not because I thought it bad or anything. My circumstances since then haven't put me in the position of attending any.

I have never been part of one, but I don't like the idea of calling spirits to join us in the physical realm. Mostly because you never know what you will call and what could come forward.

I have held several seances myself and as interesting as it is and how fun they can be, I don't really like doing them.

They make me tired, grouchy and if a spirit is trying to get 'too close' its a pain to get it to back off... the dead's patience is never ending....

but all the eeby jeeby bits aside they are interesting especially when you physically see and feel things moving around you.

Would I recommend it?? yes I would :)

I've just realised I've slightly contradicted myself... when I mean recommend it... I mean going to watch one... not do the seance yourself :P
