I have been dying to find a way to contact my best friend Josh..He passed away on 11/11/06 and I actually posted something about it asking for help like a week or less after it happened..needless to say that thread somehow disappeared the next day...anyways..I have decided that as Samhain creeps upon us this is a prime opportunity to contact him...I as well as his family have so many unanswered questions..and knowing who did it or why he was murdered is the biggest..that and knowing his spirit is at peace..

On to my question...
I would like to know if there are any pagans,wiccans, magick workers of the like that could supply me with ideas for rituals..or just make suggestions-any sort of safety precautions I should consider that I may have not already...

The reason this is such a big deal is because I do not know what happened to his spirit..when he passed..and any time I have tried to meditate and contact him..I do not feel his presence..I have done this with other loved ones that have passed on and received great success..it is almost as if he just disappeared completely..spirit and all..

I have at least 4 people agreeing to aid me in whatever ritual I come up with..

Im just asking for suggestions...Im open ears..this may involve my astral form going somewhere potentially dangerous..so if there are any other ideas out there..let me know please..oh yeh..and please dont suggest a ouija board..I wont even touch one of those things.thank you.

If he wants to talk to you then you won't need any rituals or anything like that. He's probably around you all the time anyways. Just let it happen if it's going to happen.

Try using a Ouija Board to contact your friend, it most likely will work if you concentrate on it...

Ouijia boards are bad.....there are entire disciplines devoted to being able to magnetize the environment to stimulate a return of his energy signature. Why don't you spend time researching and working on the rites of NECROMANCY its what your seeking to attempt. Best you start somewhere.

I definitely dont want to mess with a ouija board...thats an unclosable door I dont even want to imagine opening...

and if im correct...it says specifically at the end of my thread I did not want ANYTHING to do with ouija boards...

If you are looking for evidence of survivial, I can only sugest looking in your local phone book for the nearest...Spiritualist National Union Church.

These churches do not ask for anyone's believe or indeed faith.

It is the Sole ( no pun intended lol ) business of a trained medium to give loved ones evidence of survival.

A spirit of a friend or loved one will come to you when ready. I say forget the spell and go to a well known mediumn. I really did'nt want who came thru for me last time, but as the mediumns say they are prohibit from conjuring up spirits.

contact your spirit animal for protection first. don't venture into the spirit realm alone.

I tend to view Samhain more as a time to honor our ancestors rather than trying to contact them.

If you really feel the need, then like others have said, find a really good medium. Otherwise, let them come to you.

it is possible that his spirit has moved on. maybe he was ready. he may have passed to another realm, or may have been reincarnated.

I thought about that..but i really got a bad feeling in the pit of my stomach about it because of the eerie circumstances surrounding his murder....

One Suggestion for you, If anyone kept telling you use the Ouiji boards in any way to say to you to use it. please do not use it.

My advice is to let his soul go, he has passed, the universe claimed him back, performing rites of invocation without knowing what you or your friends are doing is bad form. Get on with your life and find something better to do. As the spirit you may invoke may not be his at all.

Yes Billy they do and you have a good point with your post. Also if his murder is unsolved he may be in some way trying to get that person in some way or another simular to the movie Ghost. I know its only a movie but with the spirits it is hard to say as I know how a friend of mine did when he passed on it just so happened that he used me as a medium to find his killer. Some times psycics get lucky but mediums are the ones from my experience that have had better luck. I only become involved when the one murdered comes to me not their family. Also most of the psycics are only in it for the money. Forget the quigi boards as you said they tend to bring bad energy with them as well as inacurate statements at times. (That is from the experiences from some that I know that have used them.)

His spirit will visit you when the correct time comes, dealing with contacting the dead without the proper protection and experience will only lead to trouble. There are too many malevolent spirits out there that may take advantage of the situation of someone that is not prepared.. The best way would be to visit a medium or someone who does this for a living and has the true ability. Do your research, and when the time comes, it will happen.

Ouijia boards are not bad, the people who use them are stupid they play around with them, a ouijia board is a good tool if you use it right...

Fair point Raven, but dealing with Ouija boards should not be taken lightly and care should be taken.

dont use the board to contact your friend if you use the board you may contact a demon that pose's as your friend and in all things you are lied to and you learn nothing his spirit will come when time is right...

I can't offer you elaborate advice, except for two things.
1) Don't use a Ouija board. They're too risky and unpredictable, in my opinion, and you could get some demons that can fuck up your life.
2) Be really careful. Anything dealing with contacting the dead, as I'm sure you know, is potentially dangerous...Especially if one was murdered in a gruesome or violent way.

ouija board are bad and dnagerous, they opemn a door that cannot be close, actuall they open 2 doors, one you see and one oyu dont, and anything can enter...they are bad, DONT EVER USE THEM!!! unless you enjoy being harrass, hurt or worst by demons.

Indeed, just because they sell them in toy stores does not mean they're harmless.

The best thing I can suggest is to go to a place that you and he both loved. Clear your mind of all thoughts. If he is wanting to reach you he will. Just relax and don't try to hard.

As stated in other posts, i am a "pagan" druid. Without someone who do not have the ability to comunicate with the dead, you cannot do it. You need at least 2 people to talk to him. One is to channel him towards you.
Safety is essential. Have no sharp things close, when as in previous times, the spirit itself can have anger at one person.

find a good medium...and remember, previous loved ones oft come around to "see" you. there's a very good chance that he's around you now, you just need help sensing him.
