thats kinda my point..why call satanists evil?

A lot of people fear what they do not understand, and when someone sais they are a satanist people automatically start thinking bad about that person, the majority of people who call themselves satanist do not even worship satan they worship themselves and mock christianity...

Very True also..Just as in Vampirism or Wicca..Anything one doesnt understand it is evil and wicked..But in this world now Xtians do the same as a Satanist does but that isnt evil

so would You like for me to close my threads down? Or You or someOne else? I did not write this or even want to start a fight but i find it interesting in the real way and not just because..I do not fear death nor anything else except spiders and snakes but i respect them

Just because I disagree with you on a thread does not mean you have to close it down! That is regulated by whether it meets the posting rules, not my personal taste...

I'm sure plenty agree with you that people take a harsher view than they should on Satanists, I simply think that it will always be that way, particularly in Judeo-Christian societies.

My question is this, why 2 threads that cover the same matieral? Doing a part 2 seems more appropriate if there is lots of interest. Was there a specific reason for breaking the rules up as you did?

If there is a good reason for the seperation then two threads is fine, otherwise I think this and the other thread should be combined.

For one reason I was told it would be better to break it into 2 parts..That way it wouldnt be so long..Given this is my first time to post in General i was listening to One who been here longer and knows about this more than i do

I am very open-minded and don't see a problem with any of it except #11. I would think that could end up being a jail sentence.

Perhaps if one was in the right and had to destroy to protect his or her home or family, maybe no jail time..I think in some states it is legal to protect one's self but has to be in the home..I am not in this to be big and bad but it is my calling and i have a wonderful Master/Mentor who is real and true in His teachings..Unlike some i have met..You are welcome MoonSong

You may be looking for a christian rebuttle that the word Satan is a christian oriented evil. Which is why satanists are considered evil. If not the word satanist, what word would you use?

In a perfect world, people would be judged (for lack of a more appropriate term) by their actions regardless of what they believe or what "god" they worship. Those who are "good" and do "good" things would be seen as such etc.. regardless of their religious beliefs. People act on what they are taught unless they learn otherwise. Christians are taught that "Satan" is evil, therefore Satanists must in fact be evil themselves. As was stated here, a lot of misconception about Satanists comes from the people out there professing to be Satanists to impress friends, or because they think it's "cool" ..when they actually have no clue what it's all about.

Christians feel that giving their energy to a god is good and holy, etc. Satanists worship none but themselves. They keep it for themselves and do great work with it. The whole concept of self deification, or "enlightenment" is evil to most people who are simple cattle following the flow of refuse that calls itself humanity. With such weakness all around, how could they not call us evil and try to destroy us. They know we are superior to them and fear us.

People have always condemned what they cannot fathom. Particularly if it upsets the apple cart of their religious views.

A really close friend of mine is a satanist and I did actually take the time to read the Satanic Bible(which I find amusing to call it that)... oddly enough while I was pregnant.... and I still don't understand it but I respect him sticking with his beliefs.

I wouldnt exactly call it funny but amusing in some parts and very true..I was shocked to learn that everything i was taught to believe wasnt true..I am not trying to cram nothing down anyones throat for they can do what they wish..But i know LHP is the path for me and I have the best Teacher. Mentor but i call Him Master that a learner like me can have..

A true Person no matter what His beliefs are and i am honored to have Him in my life..I did ask Him about many different Satanic Bibles that i heard was about but He laughed and said there is only One..Why hide what we want and what we do like all the so called do gooders who beg and sin on tv..shrugs

Yes, LaVey did lay down 'rules' to a certain extent in his Bible, but it is up to the individual if he/she chooses to follow all, some or none of them, as with any religion.

What does irritate me are the 'pseudo' Satanists who jump on the bandwagon because it's 'cool' to be a Satanist without investigating it's roots first.

Agrees with You Gothic Sir, thats what i did but didnt find out what it was i looking for until I met Shane..I met Others but they wasnt real, you could tell they thought it was cool and an easy way to lure girls in..But that experience brought me Shane and i am so very lucky to have met Him..

I'm curious when the extra two were added when I read the satanic bible in college there were only 9 satanic statements.

i have no clue for i just read it for the first time a couple months ago..But i heard there were several bibles but my Mentor said only one that held true...this is why i opened this thread and i have learned alot..MrD made some good points and i am looking into some of them

MrD. are those the rules found in the Satanic Bible? i am learning as i have said and loves learning more, as my Master has been sick and working alot so i would really like to hear more about this

Master is teaching me lil things at the moment such as rituals and spells plus the 5 words i cannot remember the names..i am now doing a lecture and has a month to complete this..i do not understand for We havent had time to go over things

The whole #11 destroy them thing seems a bit evil in comparisson to the christian turn the other cheek, I mean yes we have an eye for an eye but thats under other circumstances.
I was a sunday school teacher and a vacation bible school teacher. I have gone to catholic school all my life except for kindergarten.
Satan was a fallen angel and he got really pissed off. I don't understand how people see him as not evil? I'd love to understand that!

I see all as evil..Xtians more so..We do not deny what we do or feel..But so called Xtians hide and repent but still does evil..how can You not see that?

people relate things to the name.....it's may not be bad...but to people who are Christian they believe anything with Satan in the name that is is evil and bad

People assume that because the word "Satan" is in a religion, it's automatically bad, which it's not. Satanism pretty much reflects a very good order of things. It's not passive, but its not aggressive either. It's show mercy to an extent, but there's a point when enough is enough.

Agrees again but then there are those who claim satanists but really wannabes or cults..The real satanists are different

Luciferianism[I believe that's the word] is actual devilworship, not Satanism. The two are very easily confused.
Cults and wannabes are with every religion. Sadly, they get noted as the real thing when it comes to Satanists.

From my research (both reading and speaking with people) and observation, the Satanism that Anton LaVey wrote about has very little to do with the Christian devil and everything to do with the supremacy of the self. There's just about every irreverant and counter-Christian ritual that one man can think of put into play in a way as to shock and annoy the Thou Shalt Not sect. And that's really why it gets called evil. It's MEANT to LOOK evil.

There is good and bad in everything, just because someone sees something or someone as bad doesn't make it so. All people hear or read about is the bad and to me that is just wrong.

I agree but if you have noticed the ppl in this world is about theirself already..Look at the so called Good Xtain who has a chuch that preaches to 30, 000 ppl a week but yet said you have to feed physical body before spiritual..that is what the so called bible says..And his wife thinks she is better than anyone else..Is this right? that is part of the seven sins..Greed..I am not bible bashing but please look around..It isnt only Satanists that is bad..

Sinning is just relative. Everybody has their own personal standards, what THEY consider sins. Most people call themselves Christians because they agree with most of their rules, but a lot of "Christians" cheat on their spouse and sleep around, and some are even homosexual.
That makes them just as "evil" as Satanists, Wiccans, Luciferians, you name it.
We're all "sinners", in some way, shape, or form.

We're all different though, and it's their fault that they can't see that.
In a way, it kind of protects us from overly judgmental and hypocritical people. Also, for Christians that know their stuff, they know that the title Satanism is mocking their god... So they know that they'll have pretty much no chance in converting you.

I use to be an Xtian but things i have seen and heard and read..why live a lie? and to me that is what i was doing

telling someone that your religion is satanism is a great way to filter who is open minded (by wanting to know more) and who is going to waste your time (the ones who shun you without wanting to learn more)

dont care what you are winter, you are still my friend....if people can't see the good in others and choose to see only bad it is their loss....most of us can all say that we have seen and experienced things to cause doubt in what we are taught to believe in from early on...you hit it on the nail when you discovered what and who you truely are...you found yourself and that is what matters.....once again....a few bad apples spoil in the barrell but not all of the apples are bad....

Lucifer was a nice chap....someone who had the guts to take a stand and suffer its consequences....However about this Satan or Devil chap,I see it as manifestation of everything which is not right,which sways a human into making the wrong choices at the right time thereby harming himself and others around him....It exists in each and every one of us,but to what level and how much control one has over it ....now that will be different..I'm not a Satanist but i do follow some of the rules written in the Satanic Bible..I started doing so long before i even read the book.However i do not find some rules necessary nor do i find them right.....This Lavey chap is pretty brilliant.He wrote a book based on what people would love to read and what people would like to believe...And the People ate it up...As mentioned before i think the Satanic Bible is more like a book about self supremacy......

This is just my opinion....I didn't mean to offend anyone....Different people have different perspectives,just because i respect other's perception and views dosen't mean i'll change mine......Ok...I'm talkin too much...

I know this is kinda late but i do believe that some people do fear things that they do not understand, not everybody but a lot of people feel that way, i understand that their are a lot of people who would not give a second thought about someone being a satanist, but their are those people out their that would be afraid of a person if that person said that they were a satanist...

I think it strikes fear in people when they think about in that way. fear will drive people to think of things of that nature in a negative, bad or evil way. People fear what they dont understand or know about and that might be cause of it being thought in that manner.

Church ov Apeiron follows some of LaVeys ways but not all...We have our own rules and such..Shane is wonderful and very much into it, and explains things so one understands..

b/c it is what many have been taught to belive and it just rippled through out the world what is EVIL to u?EVERYONE HAS THEIR OWN OPPINON ON WHAT EVIL ID HOW THEY VEIW THE DEVIL/witches/those who practice any type of rituals that not include GOD! is concidered EVIL to many who are strong belivers in the faith and to many who have been brought up in this environment!

But even the so called straight stone xtians sin as we do..they repent but yet do it all over again...doesnt make it right at all...They do evil but yet they see it as cool..I know we taught Satan was evil but what i have seen and been through...Satan is the One who was there for me..I am happy now than i ever have been..Why feel sorry for something even the straighest arrow xtian does and be hypocritical about it?
