I checked the weather for Florida and W. Caribbean and it seems like its going to be raining all next week :(.
We will undoubtedly experience thunder showers on our trip, but I doubt it will get to the point where you'd call it "rain." Generally it's a warm drizzle/light shower for a half our or so, then the sun breaks through. Very scattered.
Liquid sunshine, I say!
If its like Florida we get them every afternoon so no worries they usually blow over.
The ship cruises around 20-25 miles per hour so even if we run into a storm we might get through it quick enough. Also, I wouldn't worry about it rocking too much since it weighs 110,000 tons (or 220 million pounds) and is almost 1000' long. It also has stabilizers to compensate for some unfavorable sea conditions IF they arise.
Just to be on the safe side though, I've asked all my friends that I'm taking along to get dramamine or some equivalent.
The Glory is capable of rocking, trust me.
The stabilizers help as well.
I am one of those sea-sickers, so one 24 hour dramamine each morning, no trouble the rest of the day.
never been, so I don't know if I do or not. However, generally I get no kind of motion sickness, so I think I'll be fine.
Caribbean storms do tend to be like floridas.. and tend to blow over fairly quickly.
It's a VERY BIG ship so don't worry about little storms! There's plenty of places to have fun inside...
