I don't think it would really be transferring a membership, He's just giving someone his whole profile to do what they wish..
It's still technically his PM considering he paid for it and its under his name. NO different to me, then if someone gives the gift of a PM or if its won in a contest. Same concept pretty much. He's giving the gift of a profile.

Anyone can give away their profile but this is not the place to let people know. Your journal is better suited for this.
