On Saturday evening I fell out of a van going 55mph. It was something you could call a "freak accident". Anyway, I fell out, flew through the air and rolled about 200 yards. I suffered road rash through the left side, my knee, my leg, and my hand. I have a huge fracture in my pelvis and a broken hip. I was in the Trauma Center at Pitt Memorial Hospital in Greenville, NC from Saturday night up until last night. Now I am on their inpatient rehabilitation unit and am starting 3hrs. of physical and occupational therapy per day. They have guesstimated my stay will be about 1 month. I am in a wheelchair unable to walk. Please keep me in your thoughts. The accident has made me realize how much I took my life and the ability to walk for granted. I am hoping to be able to run and play by next year. Please send some positive energies my way, or pray for me, or whatever it is that you can do. If you would like the phone number to where you can reach me, feel free to email me and I will give it to you.
So very sorry to hear this dear. My thoughts and prayers go out to you towards a speedy and thorough recovery my friend.
Sexy, I've been through a few injuries, a few still give me pain now and again. My suggestion is simple: NEVER stop fighting. NEVER stop pushing to help yourself recover. No matter how much a doctor can tell you something is impossible it's up to you to show yourself that it isn't. You're a fighter, or at least the impression you've given me- so keep fighting!
Thank you for your kind words all. Yes, I am fighting as hard as possible. The physical therapist said that I am improving at a rapid rate and that my upper body strength is incredible so that will help as well. I just got back from the cafeteria and the occupational therapist said that she was watching me from afar using the grabber and getting my stuff together and that I was doing very well. So I'm hoping that I will recover quicker than originally thought. Today they are telling me that I will walk again!
sorry for your injuries on the bright side it could of been worse and you not be around today. hope u a speedy recovery
