stuff kept getting changed for us, with my friends poor health, we decided it best he not travel...and now, we're going to to to AZ, my hubby, the baby and I starting on Dec 7th- 11th, to visit family and friends..ie Cajome :) ( luv ya sis)

Arizona in December.....the weather will be dipping into the mid-60's....brrrrrr. We'll all be wearing our winter clothing....heavyweight t-shirts and shorts. :)

Aww Cajome, hunny, you want cold? Come up here....we have it at about 20 or less at night right now, and 50-ish in the day, with high winds....60 in the desert is like an autumn day here, no jackets required....wussy ;)

When my dad lived on 7th ave, between Calemback and the next coutherly paralell road, there was/is this goth-ish store owned by Vial, opened only on weekends....dang it what's its name again???? I've been there often, but not for a long while...and the name escapes me!!! ARRGGHH

Yes I would love to meet others in the area, as we did before. Unfortunately the last turn out over the summer wasn't what we expected, so it often times happen.

ElderDan had mentioned to me that the CounterCultureCauldron may be closing at the end of this month, as well as the PaperHeart. Though the Paperheart they are still not entirely sure.

We could do the Willow House which is very comfortable, or perhaps a StarBucks?

Any thoughts? May I make a suggestion for it to be a Saturday? How about the afternoon?

I thought the Willow became a bit unfriendly to wierd/gothy people? Besides, I refuse to drink their espresso drinks as they don't know how to make them (chock that up to being a former barista- espresso junkie).

There used to be a nice cafe with an artsy flair in the historic district downtown I liked, good food, open mike sometimes, poetry readings...don't remember the name.

I used to work for Jolta Java in Scottsdale, we could meet there, they have great goods to eat and drink!!

Well, we arrive on the 7th in the afternoon, have that day and friday to kill (tho I need to reorganize my storae space prolly then, and my dad and his mate get home from Boston friday night), so Saturday is best I would think, hey Cajome, how about you?????

Sat the 9th, time let's say if at lunch, 12 noon or 1 pm, and if at dinner then 6pm- NOW all we need is to decide the place and the time....so give us your pick..please.

East Valley if we can arrange that. Beloved has the kids and I don't want him to go too out of his way and all.

I can do Willow House, Scottsdale, and Tempe.

Willow I'll say Nay on, Tempe is too far for me as I'd be coming from Grand Ave at 101 and exit 111, all the way on the north west end...but scottsdale, well thats a jump on the 101 a few miles...and I just love that Jolta Java...bet they'd freak to see me....

so I say jolta Java, lunch at 1 on Saturday....

(unless of course my man can't come and then I get my flight on Friday or saturday, since my dad is all confusing me with AmWest airflight poop- don't mind me....I'm just typing out loud ;) )

Actually, it is confirmed we will be there as stated, as of today..yay!!!, and it will be me, my hubby, and our daughter. Cajome is unable to get to the event, but maybe I can convince her to ride with us.

Hehehe... I hear that re: Phoenix as a "hell hole." I'm sick of brown mountains, brown dust, brown desert... and living where it's usually hot as hell, too. No lush acres of green, no blue streams and lakes, and no seasons, either.
