Is anyone going to Bats Day? It's basically goth day at Disneyland. It's in November this year. I was just curious if I would maybe see any of you there.

I'm putting a link for anyone who wants the dates or more information. Last time I looked it was Nov. 8th for the ball and Nov. 9th for the day in the park, but you can make sure for yourself if you'd like.

I work at Disneyland :P and have been to Bat's Day with several VR members the past two years and hope for another large contingent this year!

Having it first weekend of November much nicer than middle of August! I am taking Saturday off work to head back over to the Black Market - got some fabulous things last year, and hope a group can get together for dinner last year and meet up Sunday for the day in the park.

I'm hitting the Black Market with you, DD, you know that, and I'll be there on Sunday, as usual............I'm really looking forward to it, and Batt, I want to meet up with you this year so badly!

DMC you coming up for the Black Market, yes? I'm looking forward to that, need to get some clothes there, and want to get some dreads too :)

yea I will be there at the market I wanted to ask did you guys want to do dinner this year just like last year sorry i wasnt able to go dinner last year but I would be able to go this year if it were to happen again this year let me know I would love to see all of you guys there before the big event.

i don't know if i'm going to be making it down just yet. this is the weekend after a huge steampunk festival (i'll be making a post about it soon) and the weekend before another event that i have.....

Nothing says Goth like Mickey Mouse and Goofy! Make sure you post photos! I'm sure it will be an amazing time of hob knobbing with other Goths while eating gigantic medieval style turkey legs.

Get your hotel room reservations set up now, DMChere are alot of hotels nearby that are cheap, and if you want, get one nearby my place and I can pick ya up, ok?

I have gotten a hotel and my disneyland tixs have arrived so im ready to go I will see everyone up there for the big event weekend.

Does this event take place in Florida at the disney land that anyone knows of? This would be interesting to go to but Cali is too far for me to go.

it goes on at disneyland in anaheim ca I heard a few years back that someone had to tried to do the same event at the flordia park but I guess it didnt work out so it only happens at the orginal disney park itself only.

It's really fun. Hopefully I will see some of you throughout the day. I will try to take tons of pics to post so everyone can see what Bats Day looks like lol.

This only happens in Disneyland - California as it all began as a day in the park for a person on his birthday with friends and then it grew to what it is today.

I'll be attending again this year - I have pictures in my portfolio from last year's Bat's Day with Cancer, Sabastion, and others :)

With less than about 3 weeks away from the big event I am getting very excited. This update is very important, since we have the times and locations listed for the photos that will be taken at Disneyland on November 9th. Also you only have 8 days left to get your Ghoulish Gala tickets on Nov 8th.

MEETING TIMES AND LOCATIONS
FOR BATS DAY IN THE FUN PARK ON Sunday, November 9th, 2008
1pm @ in front of Sleeping Beauty's Castle

3:30pm - The Baby Bats Photo, for parents and their kids only.

At the Sword in the Stone next to the Carrousel in Fantasyland.

(after the Sword in the Stone ceremony)

8:45pm @ The Haunted Mansion in New Orleans Square
(please see the important info below about how this photo will be taken)
Please make sure that if you want to be in any of these photos, that you get to each
location 15 mins before the time listed. The group photo for each location will be take approximately 5 mins after that time stated.

Disneyland will also be taking photos of the groups. If you would like to purchase or preview the photos I suggest that you pick up a DISNEY'S PHOTOPASS card. You can pick up one of these cards for free at City Hall or the Photopass building, which is located at the end of Main Street on the right. There will be a cast member at each of the photo meeting spots that will swipe your card once the group photo has been taken. When you are ready you can go to the Photopass building and look at your photos.

I have one of these cards and its great. You can also view your photos online up to about 30 days as well as purchase all of your photos online. Disney will mail them to you on a cd. Each of these photos will be high res for printing.


Important * 8:45pm Haunted Mansion photo information.* Important Please Read.

There will be mini group photos taken of about 25-30 people in each photo. They will be taken on the steps of the Haunted Mansion. You should plan to arrive at the Haunted Mansion around the fountain that is next to the Haunted Mansion at about 8:30pm.

At 8:45 you, with your party, will start to line up to go into the Haunted Mansion queue area. Please be sure that your entire party is together before you get into line for the photo. That way you can be sure that you will all be together for your photo. To help move the photos along smoothly, if your group is too large, it may be split up in between photos.

There will be someone taking count of the entire group SO PLEASE WAIT FOR NOAH K TO TELL YOU WHEN TO ENTER THE HAUNTED MANSION.


During the count, while you are entering the Haunted Mansion, every 100th person
who gets counted will be handed a sign with a number on it.
Please make sure that you
hold it up when your photo is taken.
That is what number you are in the final group
photo. I wonder who will get the “999” sign.


You and your group will go through the queue and when you get up to the first pillar of the Haunted Mansion one of the Bats Day Staff people will tell you to hold your spot. This person will then have 25-30 people at a time come down to the steps of the Haunted Mansion to take the photo.

Disney’s Photopass team will be taking this photo. Once the Photopass team is done taking the photo, Noah will signal you to enter the Haunted Mansion. You will enter the Haunted Mansion by taking the ramp that is located next to entrance to the foyer of the Haunted Mansion.

Have been to Bat's Day with VR friends past couple of years and will be at the black market today and for a short time tomorrow at Bat's Day - got a nasty flu so won't be able to spend much time. Good thing I work at Disneyland and get in for free ;)

Went with DarkestDesires to the Black Market, and ran into Cancer there *smiling* she and I picked up some things, we couldn't resist; I'll be at the park early tomorrow with DMC, I'm sure..........hope to see you all there!

Alright well Bats Day is over and hopefully I can post some of the pictures I took soon. It was so much fun. I can't wait till next year! If this gets closed I will open another thread for pictures I guess lol.

I have about 90 pics or more that im waiting to get done in the next few days myself It was awesome to meet you ms B and I hope we can hang out again at batsday 09 which is coming up quickly in may 09 I had such a blast im glad I got to this year again.

It was so much fun. I want to go next year too. I would love to go for all the events.
