I noticed there was a Detroit Meetup thread before but it looks pretty full and didn't want to bring it up and have it closed for to many posts. So I've decided to start another.

Any members in the Detroit / Michigan area willing to meet up and hang out. The previous problem is trying to find a place that the under 18 members and the over 18 members can meet up and hang without it being all creepy. :)

Really I would be looking to meet up at a bar or a club where it would be 18+. Sorry to the younger members in the area that would like to come but dealing with parental permission or the drama behind a parent showing up because they don't know their kid is on VR and has taken off to meet up with a group of adult goths and vamps does not make for a good time.

So any of he 18+ members in the area want to meet up somewhere? City Club seems to be the gothic standard around here...

Yeah, they're still open and running every Friday and Saturday nights. I'm shocked too.

The only goth night id been to in Michigan (im in ohio) is the Necto in Ann Arbor for Factory Mondays. I found it enjoyable, I just have not been up there in a long time and would love to go again!

HA! No worries though, the bouncers are very attentive most nights so it's probably a good place actually if you're meeting someone new. Plus Ann Arbor has these fancy shmancy rape lights that you tap as you run past so the fuzz can keep track of you, ahhh college town...

Yeah, I work out in Ann Arbor and it would be a great place to met up but it's a Monday night and some people might have an issue with that. If people wanted to met up at the Necto that would be cool.

I have actually never met anyone from here in actual person, so I am very interested in attending a meet up. Hopefully we can get some people who are sincerely interested in making this thing happen.

I would love to go to a Meet Up, but I would need to know a definite time.

All there is here is a few alt rock venues and some 'hippy' coffee shops.

Maybe a mid-state location would be the best option. Lansing?

I think the real question is, what is there to do in Michigan? I mean besides be unemployed.

Well I live in westland but Thursday Friday and Saturday I am staying in novice with my girlfriend but it is hard to find a babysitter at times for a 16 month old. Thursday and Friday are my days off though.
