is there any UK memebers going to the Download Festival this year?

if so there are a few of us already going so i think it would be good to have a mini meetup at the festival!!

Sorry to sound a bit ignorant but I've never heard of this festival, what it is about?

It's a festival and loads of bands go and play with some of the best headlining it.

I might go if my parents let me -.- And if i have the money lol

I went two years ago with AAA...
Not sure If i'll go this year.. met some amazing people. Last year was the best line up ever, but I couldn't go due to surgery on 14th June. and not being well enough to go

yeah i went last year lol it was amazing!! a full 4 days of booze and rock lol im going this year lol

we had a group of us who had a naked camp lol was such a laugh,

bring on the download festival!! any old schoolers will remember it when it was the monsters of rock festival!!!

the lineup this year is gettin better!! ac/dc aerosmith motorhead, megadeth, five finger death punch!! and more to come its looking great!!

When is it?

it's the 11th- 13th june.

And Norm you so know I am there. And I am so glad I missed naked camp although after today, remembering what I was doing instead kinda hurts, ha ha.

Bring on download. and a chance to meet more VR members would be awesome.

i was there last year, it might be hard to get there this year, coz of work on w.ends, but i will try to get there if i can work something

well the layout is gonna be the same as last year so if anyone goes i suggest meeting in the download village at some point!!!

Norm, ya can only go in the download village if you have a camping pass, and not everyone will.

I would suggest meeting by either the Jagermiester tent (I will have ID with me this time, ha ha) or the EA hub at some point.

Billy Idol is playing on the Saturday with RATM headlineing g that night

lol billy idol only has 2 good songs lol and rage against the machine suck bigger than a cheap hooker with a huge mouth!!! i will be laid on the grass somwwhere at that point!!

or watching some other band!! lol

7 weeks until Download :) shall we arrange a meet up time and day when the organisers have decided who is playing when? that should be a week or so before the festival starts

nah not duplicate !! its the original thread before it was killed and re opened by another member!! the hiccup with the forums set us all backa month lol!!

it sounds like everybody is gonna have some fun

had a good time it was great to watch AC/DC maybe last chance ever to see such a legendary band!!
