The Ultimate Vampire Resource and Directory

The setting is an inn/tavern in the lower part of the city. Your character has ended up here because you're down on your luck and looking for employment. You heard a man named Melish is hiring adventurers to go retrieve some object that was stolen from him. When you enter the tavern, it is dark and smells of stale ale, wood smoke, and unwashed bodies...

A female walks into the squalid greatroom. She is tall and wears her long red hair braided and wound around her head to keep it out of her way. Her green eyes are alert and the studded leather armor, long bow, and sword give her away as a ranger. She headr to one of the long tables and calls for a tavern wench to bring her some wine.

You sit quietly watching the ranger drink her wine. Hoping this will be the day your luck changes. Finally, you approach the rangers table. Holding your cloak with your thumb and forefinger, you hold your arms wide, to show what weapons you have tucked in your belt.

You notice a tall and mysterious stranger sitting in the corner with a scar above his left eye and fingernails long enough to almost be claws. He is staring openly and drinking his ale greedily.

The ranger invites you to sit. "What can I do for you stranger?". You steal a nervous glance at the scarred man in the corner. "I am looking for someone, and I was hoping you might be able to point him out." "I have heard that someone is looking to hire some hands. Might you point me in the right direction.?

The Ranger stares as if weighing the desicion to answer. "What kind of work are you looking for she finally ask." "I am a jack-of-all-skills". "I heard Melish is looking, do you know him?".

"I know of him" she says.

"Wait here". She suddenly gets up and leaves the room. You sit and wait for her return, wondering if this was really such a wise choice.

Still eyein the mysterious man in the cornin thinkin to Yourself.. this could have all been a very bad idea .. why Is the Ranger takin so long to return.. maybe.. perhaps my luck isnt goin to change at all..
