I just want to start by saying that this was just a random thought I had and it's just an opinion..
I got to thinking about the functions a Coven Master has and found that in a way one of the functions can be pointless in some situations.. The function is being able to Blind a member.. I'm not saying that Coven Masters should or shouldn't blind members.. The situation that I think this function is pointless is when you get a member that's not active in a coven cause they don't won't to be in a coven to begin with.. What's the point in blinding a member if they're ignoring the coven that they're in to start with..? It's not like if you blind that member they can't talk to anyone on Vampirerave.. The only thing it does is make where the person can't view society messages, coven forums and makes it where that member can't post in the coven forums which they weren't doing to begin with.. I understand that you can't choose whether your in a coven or not unless you're a Sire but I have heard some Coven Masters/ACM's say that if a member refuses to post that they will be blind and made a favor whore.. What's the point..? You can make the same amount of favors off that member when they're not blinded that you would make if you was to blind that member.. Hasn't anyone ever heard the phrase "You can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink it"..?

Some people are blinded just for the simple reason they help the status of the coven because of their level and/or their favor amount. They may not have logged into their account for a long time and that's ok. Some people use it as a discipline thing. If the person messes up in the coven forum for some reason, they can be blinded as punishment for a few days. I've seen it happen and I've done it myself. But usually if you're blinded because you're not active in the coven but are making favor for the coven - that is a good thing for the coven. You don't want that person making nasty comments in the coven regardless if they can be blinded or not.
