Woke up feeling like utter crap. I actually woke up because I was choking on something.



Not sure if my coughing fit caused it, but my throat is all sore and hurts..



Guess I'll be doing that whole vocal rest thing. Sucks since I had phone calls to make today.



On the bright side, I'm glad this happened today and not yesterday. Yesterday would have sucked since I had a concert.. x_x



I'm also sick of people that obviously can't my profile. Just saying.

Today I have a performance at school that we are required to wear concert black for...



I wake up. It's snowing.



I'm not talking just a small dusting. It's fucking snowing. The trucks are out salting the road.



I'm wearing jeans and then changing at school. There is no fucking way in hell I'm wearing a skirt in this shit.



I need to confiscate that damn doll....

So someone commented on a post of mine in my gaming forums that has had me scratching my head for a while now.



I got told that I have no right to call myself a nerd because I don't watch Doctor Who.



Seriously...



Which has me sitting there thinking "Newsflash dumbass! I don't watch any tv. None. Zero."



I take that back. I watch one show. Big Bang. It consumes a grand total of 30 minutes of my week and I find it funny because I get the references.



But that isn't the point. I don't think a whole social "status" should hinge on the watching of one tv show.



One would think that because I get most of the references in Big Bang, that should qualify me as a nerd. But whatever.



It just hit a nerve of mine.

Yay for nurses that obviously don't read patients charts when you call in. It's even more pathetic when the charts are also stored in the computer and they can pull up all the important information...including allergies to certain medications.



I was told to call into the nurse this week about my mono. Pretty much the doctor wants to know how I'm doing and such.



I have a fever (102.6), stiff neck, sore throat, and my glands are tender. Nothing new. Things are just a bit more icky today.



The nurse asked me what have I taken for the fever, to which I replied...Motrin.



She seriously went off on me. Told me that I need to take Tylenol because Motrin can damage my liver, especially while I have mono.



Apparently the GIANT red text that says "Allergy to Acetaminophen" wasn't ringing a bell.



I've seen my charts. I've seen what comes up when they run my name in that computer system. That pops up.



That nurse should have seen that and known right away that I'm allergic to Tylenol. Dumbass.



Other than that, I'm "resting" and napping off and on today.

Oh my thoughts are scattered atm...



I just truly wished someone would WALK a day in our shoes, before judging.



I'm PROUD to be a Nurse, and a DAMN good one at that.

See, I totally understand if she was in a hospital, but this is a private office and all she does is the paperwork for my doctor. I'm sorry, I have a hard time feeling sorry for her when she sits on her ass and handles phone calls.

The charts are all in the computer and it actually flashes a warning for severe allergies. She should have seen that and actually thought about what she was saying.

So I got 12 hours of sleep last night. It was amazing. I really needed that.

I did have to "cheat" a bit though. I started to get sleepy at around 8:30, so I took my meds, but I also took my sleeping meds as well. I figured if I went to bed that early, I might get up earlier than I want.



My sleep meds have a half life of 30 minutes and metabolize out of my system after about 6 hours. I figured that if I took it early, it would keep me asleep so I could actually rest.



That's the thing with Mono...I need to rest.



On more dreary news. I keep getting emails about a stupid meeting I can't attend....and I've told them about 4 times I can't attend. How many times do I have to say "I'm sorry, our car isn't working"?



I might end up sending them this picture:

So Sean finally called me. A friend grabbed him and the guy that rides with him and they got to work.



I was afraid that he just couldn't see because he was sleepy. Apparently the damn thing just jumped out in front of him. He's ok, and yes I yelled at him.



He didn't call me because I'm sick and I need all the rest I can get....



I called him a dickbag and told him that in situations like that, call me. I also made him laugh and we discussed the next plan of action.



His father will be loaning us his car until we get a new one. We are going to call the bank tomorrow and see about a loan and then go find a car. I already scouted the net and found two nice ones. Obviously used.



We have to see what the insurance company says first though.



And holy hell at the views on my last entry. I guess people thought I was talking about something VR related? o.O



Nope. I was just pissed that the other half didn't call when the car got totaled. Sorry, no drama here. :(

The more I think about this current situation, the more pissed off I get.



Apparently they called his sisters, but not me. Apparently his father is working on the car, before the insurance company has had a chance to look at it....



So I'm pissed. And I'm dragging his ass to the Urgent Care tonight. He can walk there with me.



After his father and the insurance, I should have been called. Not his sisters....



He's not going to like me much when I finally get on the phone with him..

Right now I don't know if I should be pissed or worried about Sean.



He sent me a text message this morning at around 5:30. It said that he hit a deer and the car is totaled...



That is all. I've been going crazy trying to call him or anyone that would know how to get in touch with him.



For those that don't know, I suffer from panic disorder and anxiety attacks. Imagine how I feel at this very moment? Thankfully my classes were canceled for today, because I'm in no shape to be there.



So yeah. I'm in panic mode. He hasn't answered his phone, so I'm praying he's at work.



I really wish I had the number for his work. When I see him, I'm grabbing that.

This whole "work" thing isn't happening tonight.



A friend keeps texting me random shit since he's overjoyed I finally have texting again.



So I keep getting distracted.



Found a really decent playlist on Spotify so I'm jamming out to some random music.



Today was really long for me. I got my voice part switched in Choir, I got to have a long talk to my adviser regarding my health, and I had everyone "ooohing and ahhing" over my nails.



I do have to say, I'm going to have tons of stuff to write about for my Friday assignment in Government. We are discussing civil liberties and civil rights this week, so we have to write a paper on why they were put in place and how it affects our lives today. Yet another way VR has helped with homework.



All "blame" aside, there is a lot going on that I can include in my paper as examples. No names obviously, but still good material. I might expand into all areas of social networking. Should help my grade out a lot.



Lots of crap on my mind, I can't seem to focus on anything really.



I also hate typing on this laptop.

So I finally told my boyfriend how far behind in school and work I was....



Apparently I'm going to be working all week to catch up and the only time I'm allowed to take a break is to sleep, eat, and watch Big Bang Theory.

Good news/bad news regarding my classes.



Because I've been sick and having computer issues, I have managed to fall about 3 weeks behind in all of my classes. I talked to my history and government instructor (since they are the same) and he pretty much told me to email him the assignments I'm missing when I get them done and to not worry.



My other instructor? Flat out told me to drop the class. *sigh*



So I only have morning classes and one class a day on campus again.
