This is the definition of friendship that I found on the internet somewhere.
--------------------------------------------------------------
Friendship is a term used to denote co-operative and supportive behavior between two or more beings. In this sense, the term connotes a relationship which involves mutual knowledge, esteem, and affection and respect along with a degree of rendering service to friends in times of need or crisis. Friends will welcome each other's company and exhibit loyalty towards each other, often to the point of altruism. Their tastes will usually be similar and may converge, and they will share enjoyable activities. They will also engage in mutually helping behavior, such as exchange of advice and the sharing of hardship. A friend is someone who may often demonstrate reciprocating and reflective behaviors. Yet for many, friendship is nothing more than the trust that someone or something will not harm them.
--------------------------------------------------------------
I have had every rule to this definition broken today by someone or another.
Just as I was beginning to come out of the anti-social shell that I used to hide under day by day, these old familiar words come back to me:
Trust no one.
Trust no one.
Trust no one......
Misunderstood Rating Issues19:13 Dec 02 2008

Everywhere I turn on VR it seems that people are getting utterly obsessed with trying to either prove that ratings don't bother them or to prove to others that ratings do bother them.
Any time I say anything about what someone has rated me, they automatically get defensive and go straight to the assuption that I am freaking out about my 1 or whatever else it is below a ten when in reality I am just upset with the reason that they rated me that number. It is more of a let down of human nature. There are people that get upset when you rate them low and there are people that don't. But the way I see it, why rate people low just to make them upset? What is the point? If I know that something upsets someone I'm not going to purposely do it. I am not concerned with WHY they get upset about something. Just that they do get upset about it. Some people just cannot exist or be happy in their world without trying to do something to upset someone purposely. Its childish and pointless.
