I did not expect that I had to make a journal post about something that was in my bio on my profile. For those coming across my profile- please learn the terminology of certain words, phrases, slang.
Especially if you are older than 30-40 years of age. It is 2025. If you have been chronically online, even on VR- Google is at your finger tips.

*clears throat*

📣 GOOGLE IS FREE 📣

I should not have to make a whole ass journal post about what I written on my personal experience, just to clue in what specific/certain slang and terminologies mean to folks older than me.

No sneaky link does not refer to website links or even remotely close to it.
No I'm not going to tell you what the letters DM mean.
But since people are oblivious to free internet on their phones, I'll just write it:

DM = Direct Message

(If someone says);
'No DMs'
It means No Direct Messages

OR

'DM me'
It means Direct Message me

[It's literally just slang or short hand to tell someone do not message me/send me a message/don't direct message me]

It's astounding how many people have been online on this website for x amount of years, and can create top notch glitzy profile backgrounds, but lack common sense to look up new words and phrases.

There were assumptions I had received from folks because of what I wrote in my profile, and when it is mentioned to me via messages- it's the audacity. I am not going to explain something you could not comprehend or understand-

The Internet is free, Google is free. There should be no reason why you can't pick up a PC or phone and search up something you're unfamiliar with.

It has nothing to do with Grammar. But more dealing with older folks who can't bother to pick up Google and comprehend new terminology and lingo. It's bothersome to teach people who refuse to use the Internet at their own disposal. It's not even a combination of letters- it's simple internet usage. For those older folks on here who are chronically online can't bother to use common sense. It's quite annoying to explain something as simple as LOL. Laugh out loud or laughing out loud (just using your example). It's text and IM (instant message) speak that they need to pick up on. It's time to get with the times ya know what I mean? it's 2025. It grinds my gears tbh

Yes in English DM means direct message.
In German DM means Deutsche Marks or German money.
Not everyone on here first language is English

It's 2025; learn the terminology- Word of the day: Sneaky Link

Times Read: 508

"Sneaky link" is slang for someone with whom you are secretly having a physical relationship or hookup, often without emotional commitment. The term gained popularity on platforms like TikTok and Twitter around 2020-2021 and refers to a clandestine encounter or "link-up" that is hidden from the public eye.

Key characteristics of a sneaky link:

Secrecy: The relationship is kept hidden from others.

Physical focus: It typically involves casual sex without strings attached.

Low emotional connection: There's usually no expectation of a deeper emotional bond or commitment.

Informal: It's an informal term used in casual, social contexts.

[Similar terms]:

Friends with benefits (FWB):
This term is similar, as it also describes a casual sexual relationship with a friend, but "sneaky link" implies an even greater level of secrecy.

Side piece:
This slang term refers to a person one is involved with secretly, usually in the context of an affair.

Examples of usage:
"He's my sneaky link" refers to the person they are secretly hooking up with.
"We had a sneaky link last night" indicates a clandestine meeting for a sexual encounter.

----In slang, to "link" or "link up" means to meet, connect, or hang out with someone, either in person or online. It can also refer to a romantic or sexual relationship, particularly when used in the term "sneaky link," which describes a person someone is secretly involved with romantically or sexually.

With a productive journal like this I might actually add it as favored. Please continue to educate us. You know even if someone gets it wrong it still doesn't negate a referral link posted here on this site as being redundant. Still a sneaky link to me even if its taken out of context.
