Back in the day, we were told by those before us that vampires are nasty, evil creatures of the night—the undead boogey man. Being told about the ghouls and goblins that stalk in the shadows. We were shown vampires to be ugly bloodsuckers. However, as times have changed over the last two decades, that is no longer the case.
Vampires have struck our hearts, becoming a motif for primal lust and taboo fantasies.
Fantasies that we dare not speak of within our social circles.
Growing up, we looked at vampires as the monsters that hid under our beds.
Now we fawn over them, ache and yearn for them as if our brain chemistry has been altered to see that there is more to the undead than meets the eye.
We crave this desire to be taken by the vampire, enthralled in the arms of their darkness. A lingering hunger for humanity that has long since expired in their lifetimes. Our brains were wired to view them as a threat. Viewing them as a danger. Alerts and alarms are buzzing in our heads, with big yellow caution signs signaling for us to stay away.
Coincidentally, our hearts and sexual organs are exploding with excitement. We know we should stay away, but we secretly find pleasure in the thrill of encountering one.
As the saying goes.
"People fear what they do not understand."
Naturally, this holds because since we do not understand the vampire, we fear it. Then again, our curiosities have been piqued, and therefore, this art and seduction of vampires begins to morph our sense of their morality in our eyes. Whether they are the monsters they are made to be v.s the beings we want them to be.
Just like the infamous Psychoanalytic theory created by Sigmund Freud regarding the debate of "Nature" versus "Nurture". Freud's work on psychoanalysis of the mind is broken into three components. The ID, Ego, and SuperEgo.
The ID representing the unconscious mind one is born with, which represents the biological drive and instinct. For vampires, their ID (Nature) would be their makeup to hunt, kill, and survive because it is what they are. The SuperEgo (Nurture) represents the moral consciousness and behavior based upon the upbringing, environmental settings, and societal conditions. Vampires are subjected to being the monsters they're born as, but also fighting against their morality and nature to be stone-cold killers. Just as we humans fight against our moralities, knowing right from wrong, being self-aware/lacking self-awareness of the risks and dangers, all due to our upbringings and how we were raised. Lastly, the third component is the Ego (The Balance), which serves as a mediator to balance out the born nature with the nurture, learned morals.
Truthfully, as humans, we struggle with our SuperEgos because we learned at a young age what to do and how to act when encountering a monster. We were taught to run and hide. Instead, now we invite and fawn. This art of the vampire has become increasingly seductive; we're drawn into their pure pitch-black shadows, being enveloped and in awe of what is meant to be evil.
Our bodies and our hearts seek comfort in what they have to offer, our brains screech out to us to keep away. A mystifying push and pull.
A collar is a precious gift, not just a mere trinket, as most would visualize jewelry. For one to be collared, there's a deeper meaning behind it all. Love in its purest form. The most authentic symbolism of bonding is love, loyalty, trust, and protection. In addition to the collar's symbolic message, there is also honor, ownership, respect, plus surrender. There is a mutual consent.
Moreover, collars can signify a power exchange, consensually that is. One who doesn't understand will never know the true, genuine value a collar places on the commitments for both the wearer and the bestower.
Much like wedding rings, collars can be the kinky equivalent. However, just as a variety of rings exist, different collars exist too, which all can represent a different kind of power exchange. Within the BDSM lifestyle or D/s dynamic, the Bestower is usually the Master or Dominant, although the wearer is the submissive, slave, or vice versa, depending on the type of negotiated dynamic they have with one another.
Another vital point of collars is when the partners begin what's called a "Collaring Ceremony". A collaring ceremony is a deep, ritualistic, intimate ceremony similar to a wedding, where the partners in the dynamic further their trust and commitment by having the submissive's neck receive their collar from the Dominant/Master. Vows are even exchanged.
To be collared is one of the most intimate moments not only for the wearer, whether they're a submissive or a slave. But it's also intimate for the partner as well. Each of them knows just how much of a connected bond they share. Emotionally, sexually, spiritually, and physically. They know that by receiving a collar in this emotionally intense moment. They are permanently agreeing to signify their dominance and submission.
More so, when a collar is placed, it can change how one envisions oneself and the role one has. All in all, to be collared is truly an enlightening and empowering experience.
While I do get AI has become a booming aspect in people's lives especially on social media BUT when it enters into the music and artist industry..it becomes a problem.
Thank God as a comic con goer, I've experienced the infamous Artist Alley, which is exactly what it is. An alley at the convention to showcase many different upcoming + local artists with their creative artistic pieces ranging from figurines, to wall art, posters, wall scrolls, pins, clothing accessories all hand crafted and painted. Truly a haven for passionate folks who embrace the creativity of art. However as of recently, within the past few years since the increase of AI.
Non-artists have actually demonstrated their lack of ideas when they encroached onto artist alley with pieces that ARE without a doubt AI art claiming it to be their own original work. Thankfully, a lot of convention participants have advocated against this and petitioned for AI work to be banned within Artist Alley.
I dabble in art myself, more specifically sketching, teaching myself how to draw in particular Japanese manga. I've always used templates and how-to guides online to help. BUT I've never once used AI. That is because during a time in my teenage youth; the usage of AI was never even around. This was the late 2010 era. Even throughout into early 2020 during my twenties. Now in my 30s, I've seen folks use AI not only to get around lazily with cheating in college on essays and papers. But also using AI to generate fake art work AND music. Seriously, if you look up on YouTube, there's an boom in AI generated "Dark Romance" music. A lot of folks have been using AI apps on Google play & Apple play store to "create" music and then distribute this ridiculous content onto platforms like YouTube which is a big slap to the face FOR real musicians and artists. The same musicians and artists who gave years in the industry. ONLY to be pushed aside by Artificial intelligence.
Not going to lie here folks, but yes I shake my head in disgust at people who solely rely on AI for creativity. Though hey, it is what it is.
There's even apps for AI to be used to create stories. Yes you heard me right. Not one single original idea, from the ones I've encountered while doom scrolling online. The stories clearly have grammatical errors, lack of punctuation, no clear plot or storyline. I literally had to facepalm myself when I seen those god-awful AI generated video trailers for said stories that advertised the apps being used. I wanted to gag because being a writer as well- it was just one of this WTF moments.
However none of this is honestly surprising me anymore. Because the media has genuinely foreshadowed this type of take over nearly 20-30 years ago.
Let me explain here,
If anyone is familiar with Ghost in the Shell. If you're not. Check it out. The franchise simply touch basis on how Artificial intelligence had taken over Japan including cyber warfare. Citizens becoming full-blown cyborgs, the usage of state-of-the-art cyber technology and prosthetics with AI at the helm of it all for every day life.
The dystopian age of the 21st Century
I hate to say it, but with AI's devastating usage throughout the entire country. We're already headed into that future. All I gotta say to conclude this journal, is Tsk Tsk Tsk
Ughhhhh!! I fucking hate this, not having the passion and love for writing as I used to. I know it's been a few years, but I seriously lost my mojo for poetry and writing in general. It's as if the love for something that came naturally to me had been zapped away throughout the past couple of years. Writing has always been that one thing I enjoyed doing, even as a kid.
Stories, poetry, made-up songs. All of it came naturally, like there was a true talent in me. Even in school, I didn't mind sharing what I would write. I learnt many different forms of poetry to work on. Odes, sonnets, Haikus, onomatopoeia, free verse, Limericks, Hyperboles, personifications, etc. Another thing I took into account in my pieces was the use of the literary technique "Show, Don't Tell".
Rather than simply telling the story, I would go in-depth with details to show my audience.
Now it's like, where the hell did ALL my spark go?! I can't for the life of me think of anything good to write or come up with. Back then, especially during a dark moment of my life, dealing with depression and suicidal thoughts, I was good at expressing myself; putting feelings onto pen and paper. Damn! When I was 13 years old, I began writing my own psychological thriller novel, but I guess now I should call it a fanfic at this point. Afterwards, I got to the stage of copying the entire story to Google Docs to add on. What was originally a dream of mine. That was placed on paper. I would continue the work in my 20s. Thinking of it now, I haven't touched that document in nearly 4-5 years.
Either way, in 2026, whenever I try to type with fingers on the keyboard at the ready. I blank out. Don't freaking tell me I've been going on in life with writers block in my 30s.
While I do appreciate everyone who I give honor too thanking me in my messages and in turn presenting honor to me as well. You are always welcome. Just sharing the positivity ya know what I mean. Sometimes I give honor just to be polite & kind, if I had positive encounters. Other times, I give just to help out.
Even though I'm trying to level up and become sire the honor system baffles me a bit.
I tend to split my honor all equally and distribute the number accordingly.
Not that I'm saying there's anything wrong or bad. But I notice that when I give someone a 5 honor, on their honor chart the number is shown to become a 6. However, there's been instances where I've given a 10 honor to a person, and on their chart it's a 5.
I guess I still got a lot to understand about how the honor system works out, as my level progresses higher. As the saying goes, "give credit where credit is due"
How about give honor, where honor is due
Anyways, to those I've gave honor too you're welcome 😎👍🏻👍🏻
But to those who have pissed me off, straight up annoyed me and even harassed me at some point (you know what you did) I gave y'all negative honor for very valid reasonings BUT
let me be clear on my feelings

COMMENTS
You may already know this, but in case you don't, the number amount of honor it gives a person is based on your level. This is from the honor FAQ "You can give a member +1 or -1. The power of your actions is 10% of your status, rounded down. For example, if you're level 59, the Honor you can actually give/take is +5 or -5."
I read where you said you had a lot to learn about the honor system still, and thought maybe this may help. Message me if you have any questions, and I will be glad to try and help sort it out for you. :)
If I'm going to get ghosted, simply for trying to make genuine and sincere friendships/connections here on VR. Then openly tell me; what's your issue with me and why I'm being ghosted; and or left on 'seen'-
just so I wouldn't feel I'm the one to blame.
Considering that's the default setting with friendships nowadays. Point the finger and blame me, while they lack accountability and refuse to acknowledge their own wrongdoings.
It's better for them to paint me as the villain in their narrative.
Meanwhile they ghost me, just so they would not have to deal with guilt and deflect responsibility.
To me, ghosting means I'm not worth an explanation as to why I've been dropped, left hanging, abandoned or cut off.
That I'm just not worth anyone's time.
Truthfully, 𝙄'𝙢 𝙣𝙤 𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙚𝙧 𝙩𝙤 𝙗𝙚𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙜𝙝𝙤𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙙.
Hell I've been ghosted by supposed 'friends' I knew for 20 years. Yeah I know life happens, shit happens. But come on!
Be an adult and own up to someone you supposedly cared about.
Give them the reason you're leaving. Otherwise your actions will just end up causing more emotional, dare I even say mental wounds for them to heal.
To be honest, I was the type of ride or die friend and they knew that wholeheartedly; but frankly it wasn't good enough. They cut me off without a moment's hesitation. While folks targeted me online & offline, bullied me, came at me, accused me all because of my affiliation with said friends. I always defended their honor, name and reputation even if it had cost me my own. I took a lot of bullshit for those I once held dear to my heart and in my life. Only for them to abandon me like trash.
So best believe me when I said I'm 𝙉𝙊 𝙎𝙏𝙍𝘼𝙉𝙂𝙀𝙍 to ghosting.
I just want to make a clarification that friendship ghosting does happen and if there is a chance that I'd become a ghostee yet again for no reason at all. Then give me a valid statement before making claims of wanting to become my friend. I'd rather ride solo than to deal with people who can't show up for me, as I've always done for others.
I rather hurt while I am healing than become vulnerable again, especially on VR

When I think of Freud, I think of cocaine.
Freud published “On Coca” (1884) and several papers praising cocaine’s medical uses; he prescribed it and experimented on himself and others while the drug was then considered a promising medicine.

From a theoretical POV.
'In Twilight, Edward Cullen warns Bella Swan that vampires are physically "designed to kill". He tells her that everything about him is camouflage meant to lure humans in—including his face, voice, and smell—making him the world's most dangerous predator.'
I like your sensible approach to strange things.
I need to buy that Twilight box set. Loved the first movie.
