In the dark, they scatter all around.
They whisper in low tones,
So that no one will know.
Their murky waters will suffocate you,
when you drown.
"It's your turn", they all moan out.
No physical bodies,
just deformed shapes.
They push and pull you into the unknown.
Your senses are clouded,
just enough for them to toss in their hooks.
These shadows are apart of Dante's
Nine circles of hell.
They wait in hiding,
for you to surrender.
It's your soul,
they want to swallow in their shadowy abyss
of endless torture.

Do you ever just sit and wonder if you’re ever good enough?
Do you ever lay down and wonder about your flaws?
Do you ever cry in the shower to muffle the sounds?
Do you ever feel sick at the thought of losing someone you love?
Do you ever wish to be held in someone arms?
Do you ever wipe your eyes and say “I’m fine”?
Do you ever stare at the mirror and tell yourself “it’s not fair”?

The wounds on her Caramel skin bled
and ached while she cried out in a frightened state.
Her body quivered in such a way that led to the downfall of her mistake.
A bloody knife covered in tape was held right between her thick, smooth legs.
She let out a gasp, realizing post haste
that she could not escape.
Surrounded by flickering lights, this was her fate.
She lost all hope when discarded by her mate.
It was a wrong path she chose,
knowing now the wounds were from the hate she craved.

As Dracula held Mina in his arms, she held him like she loved the sun.
Together, they knew that this union was forbidden.
But they did not care, for a vampire can only love you forever.
A single blood drop was all that it took
to solidify Mina's unending love and her pure devotion to the king of all vampires.
Where they stood, caressing one another as both of their eyes met.
Dracula finally understood why Mina was "The One".
For she was the human who had truly, without a doubt,

Tensions arose between earth itself.

I stood idly by while Anakin was slowly reaching the dark side.

But due to my own ignorance, Anakin became a true Sith Lord...
It's something I am deeply to blame...

The crime against Black kids was long before Black Lives Matter.
It all started with young 14-year-old Emmett Till.
Accused of wolf-whistling at a White woman.
His young, carefree life was tragically stolen.
Racism is what killed her son, Mamie Till said.
But to be honest, it’s still going on, even after decades have passed.
Violence and hatred are not learned but actually taught.
Just like when Trayvon Martin was sadly shot.
People called him a “thug,” but guess what,
All he wanted was to go on home.
He fought for his life just like any child would.
On social media, all Black kids are considered “hood”.
Take another look at another black life lost.
Kendrick Johnson was murdered in school.
The one place where he could grow.
His killer still hasn’t been caught,
And honestly, it’s quite a shame that no one is to blame.
Has anyone ever stopped to think about what’s really going on?
In this world, racism has to end
Because we have to..

Vampire in Sheep's Clothing (circa 2019)


His love for her flourished
like a blossoming, spring rose.
To him, she was the purest fair maiden to thaw out his frozen,
undead heart.
Her flowing, lush brown locks,
draping down,
sent a rush of lust all through his chest.
Just a drop of her blood, coursing through his throat,
trickling down his mouth.
It was enough to make his decaying body crumble and fall apart.
He studied her petite womanly body
and held back his deep, dark desire.
For years,
he was always captivated by her.
He felt an unforgettable ache
every time she was near.
In his mind, she would never want him.
Only because in the end, he was nothing more than,
a vampire in sheep’s clothing.

The Woodsman's Curse (circa 2019)


A chilly darkness falls behind the moon,
While the shattering wind flows on through.
As a single star gleamed in the sky,
she peered down the lake as salty tears streamed down her face.
Her warm skin trembled beneath her tattered clothes.
Creaking and crunching is all she ever heard.
Branches cracked as she ducked out of sight,
Causing her chest to heave with all its might.
There was no escape from this woodsy maze while she was in full fight or flight.

And then it occurred...
Her calming whimper soon fell silent,
the moment rough hands captured her mouth.
In the shadows
lurked the figure she was terrified of.
Still above blanketing the lanky trees,
the nighttime illusion began to fade.
The figure had covered her vision,
then trailed her neck with the pointed
end of a pocket knife.

One measly prick was enough
to send a devastating shock all through her body.
He sniffed her hair,
picking up the lavender-scented shampoo.
He moans gently, entranced by his sadistic thoughts.
A breeze as cold as ice snapped him back to reality,
as he tilted his head up to the pine cone air.

"The woods are nature's dogs
And I'm its master.
The trees obey my every command.
Just ask around."
Roots of all shapes and sizes
stretched beyond the two.
Thorns peeked from the dew-covered dirt,
stabbing Jenny underneath her bruised,
swollen feet.
Then at that moment,
she was jerked back away from the man.
He stepped away from the shadows,
allowing for the moon's light to
reveal it all..a transcending, elemental form.

His body erupted into a
masterpiece of rose vines,
upon his chest and forearms.
While his hands and feet
molded tree bark over his badly damaged skin.
His pupils flickered from emerald green to ember gold.
Jenny's frail arms shielded her half-nakedness,
His voice was deeper than before, a sign of his readiness.
"I am the woodsman and
Your life is what can undo my curse."
