I got up early this morning because the chickens were making weird noises.
It wasn't the chickens. It was the turkeys. Everybody was waking up and dropping out of the tree and the turkeys were making turkey noises I hadn't heard them make before.
Everything was fine so i started coffee because, fuck, it was 6:30am.

Yesterday was a pizza night. Grandkid topped her pizza herself and it came out perfectly.
I also decided to make a stromboli. I am not sure if it turned out right. I could have stuffed it more than I did too but it did make a really nice snack bread, at the least.

Today was the day. The chicken nuggets are bound for the freezer.
Context, we bought cornish cross chickens. Grandkid named the group "chicken nuggets".
There you go.
She is a funny kid. She doesn't want to eat chickens, eggs, or fish but she wants to provide them for everyone else.
She wants to farm chickens and ducks so people who want to eat them, can. She wants to fish, so she can feed other people. I hope she can maintain her aspirations in a world full of people who are bound to say can't, won't, and don't, at every turn.

Cancelled Netflix over a month ago to cut the fat on our expenses, we have been finding all kinds of fun things on youtube for free.
Movies about dinosaurs, Andy's Amazing Adventures, and now Dino Dana.
Wall to wall dinosaurs.

This is the first time in weeks i haven't gone to see my goats. I am a little sad about it but I was worried we might interfere with the family plans of the goat farmer and I am not feeling well today either.
Hopefully we can go next weekend. We need to hurry up and get our fence so we can just bring them home.

The day is barely half over and I am tired.

First school year is nearly done. No more zoom sessions, just three lessons and then a couple of weeks of general attendance.
The plan for the summer is practice to be ready for first grade. Writing, math, and of course reading.
