My Dismay

We wander about in life
Caught between the rose and the knife
Between all the hopes of past lives
And all the cares that cause us to take a dive.
The cross we bear we build for ourselves
The nails are the hopes and dreams we shelve
We become that which we hate
As others belittle and berate us
And we pay them heed in thought and deed
If you hear my words, let them be to you as seeds
If you comprehend my words, protect the flower but pluck the weed
If you feel the weight of my words, carry them in your heart like gems
If not, carry on, worry not and pray you be spared the pain of my dismay
My Friend

My Friend, I heard the news today
Of the pain you carry, the sadness that has come your way
My heart is pained and saddened for you
My heart is pained and saddened for you
Often times life goes south and leaves us in dismay
Why must we endure, why do things happen this way
My heart is pained and saddened for you.
My heart is pained and saddened for you.
Yet in the midst of all this pain and confusion
I can come up with only one conclusion
There is a great cloud of friends and loves
They come to shoulder the burden, to lift us not shove us.
Remember this when in dispair, we are all here and we all care
My heart stands waiting to comfort you
My heart stands waiting to comfort you
The Flight of the Spirit
10:03 Apr 10 2006
Times Read: 1,049
Just remember that sorrow
Is only for the night
Yet joy returns with the dawn
May the dawn break soon
May it break out with laughter
May your spirit soar high
May you find what you are after.
Destiny

As sure as the sun sets in the sky
It will set in your life
Then you will go to a place, not of time and space
Where you will find our the sum of all your deeds
When that day comes
Will you prosper or will you bleed
