sometimes in life, hope seems so distant.. the light of hope seems faint and dim. It is my prayer for you that when you find yourself in this place that you won't give up but fight it out until you see it shining bright in the eyes of those you love. for me it has been so for a long time. But I will not give up nor give in to the dark fear that tries to consume me. I promise.

Just recently, I passed what would have been the 46th birthday of the love of my life. Yet it wasn't. On the 7th of August, it will be 4 years since I last held him. On the 7th of August it will be 4 years since he last spoke my name. On the 7th of August, it will be 4 years since I had the distinct dishonor of helplessly watching my love drowned in front of me.



Should I have moved on my now? Maybe, but I haven't as you can clearly see. Should I be over him? I doubt it. We were in a marriage for 16 years and have 2 lovely daughters.



It wasn't always good but it was always worth it.

That comment was meant for anyone who has ever questioned the worth of love and passion.



I hope that I have never done anything that would have embarrassed him or shamed him. I hope that he would be proud of who I am today and how I have raised our daughters. I can't say for sure.



All I really know is that I love him as much now as I ever did. My passion for him is in no way waned. Every day I am not with him, I am in pain. Every day I don't hear his voice, my heart cries out for it. Yet with all of this. I would not give up one minute even if it meant would never have to feel this lonely.
