I am a huge fan of the roleplaying game company White Wolf Game Studios, particularly their World of Darkness settings. I have been a member of the Camarilla fan club since June 1998 and have enjoyed many opportunities for storytelling and coordination activities along the way. Some of my "achievements" include being a local chapter storyteller and coordinator for two chapters in San Diego, being an assistant storyteller for the Southwest region in Wraith and Mortals, being an assistant storyteller for Wraith at International Camarilla Conclave (ICC) 1999 in Portland, Oregon, and being the lead storyteller for Wraith at ICC 2001 in Burbank, California.
In 2004, White Wolf launched a newly reinvented World of Darkness, beginning with the World of Darkness corebook and quickly followed up with Vampire: The Requiem. Other games include Werewolf: The Forsaken, Mage: The Awakening, Promethean: The Created, Changling: The Lost, and soon to include Hunter: The Vigil. My personal fave is Mage, followed by Vampire.
In 1991, White Wolf launched the World of Darkness with Vampire: The Masquerade. This game would be its flagship game and set the standard in many areas of the roleplaying entertainment. Vampire was followed by Werewolf: The Apocalypse, Mage: The Ascension, Wraith: The Oblivion, Changeling: The Dreaming, Kindred of the East, Hunter: The Reckoning, Mummy: The Resurrection, Demon: The Fallen, and Orpheus. Vampire, Werewolf, Mage, Wraith, and Changeling all have alternate historical settings as well, ranging from the Dark Ages, to the Victorian period, to the American Wild West period, to the World War I period. My personal faves are Wraith at the top, followed by Mage at a close second. You can still purchase PDF versions of the games at DriveThruRPG.com.
