I have been told that if you sleep with your head on the same pillow as your sleeping cat, you will share dreams.
And so, I evened my breath to match his. Together, we slowly drifted off into a dream. It was lovely.
The dream was simple, but wonderful. I sat in my family's living room, in the center of the room with a red string in my hands. Julius, my cat, was hiding in his forest of house plants. As I swung the string his way, he pawed at it, slowly emerging from the plants. He jumped, clawed, and bit at the string. I threw the string up high, and Julius leaped onto his hind legs to bite and slash at it. He caught it. I laughed as he played with it a moment longer before he sat beside me. I stroked his orange furr, happily. He was happy too. i could see the smile on his face. Then, the dream jumped to a time when I was ill, lying in a rocking chair, draped in quilts and blankets. Julius jumped up to my aid, letting me pet him until we both fell asleep.
Needless to say, I think what I was told was indeed true.
