Sean stood in his sister's room while all his friends were in his room discussing his absence more than likely. He just stood by her window looking out at the chilling night air and the rain that he could still hear, but only slightly and the blinding lightening. He really didn't care what they were thinking really he just stood there and stared, thinking of nothing, nothing at all.
He was worried about what was going on, but he wasn't sure what to even make of it. He was scared, terrorfied even. He wasn't too sure what to make of this event. He finally stepped away from the window and sat on his sister's bed and puzzled some more. As he decided and thought Max came into the room slowly.
"Knock, knock. Can I come in," he asked. Sean just nodded his head ever so slightly, not really acknowledge him at all. Max walked over to Sean and sat on the bed and hugged him close. Sean just leaned into his strong form and not cared what would happen any longer. He wasn't sure if he cared at all any more. He was just so out of it. He was tired, not physically, but spiritually and mentally. He had just about enough of all the bull shit that was happening in his life. To add this complication was to destroy him and he was damn well close to letting it happen too.
Sean leaned into Max and finally truly realized he was there, holding him with care and love. He knew he had found his match, someone who would truly care for him no matter what the conditions were and he felt that he would easily do the same thing for him as well. He was falling for Max and nothing seemed to stop that. He truly felt he was beginning to fall in love with him.
He just sighed and held Max back, close. He nuzzled against his chest and laid down into his lap and almost fell asleep as Max stroked his head ever so gently. He felt that Max felt the same way, but wasn't sure, now he did. He sat up and looked Max in the face and saw this beautiful person sitting next to him with concern, like no one else would. He loves me too, he thought. He just sat there and stared into Max's gorgeous eyes, twinkling with happiness and soul inspired beauty. He truly knew that they were a match made in Heaven.
Max stared back at Sean with the same tenderness that Sean was showing him and knew that he would never be hurt by him. He was safe. They both were lost in each others eyes for what seemed like an eternity until they leaned in. Sean leaned forward first and Max went the rest of the way, both sets of lips touched and an explosion of love erupted.
Sean reached around Max's neck as Max reached around Sean's side hugging him even closer to him. Sean reached up and began to run his fingers through Max's soft, curly hair. Sean had always loved Max's hair and now he had a chance to touch its beauty. Max just moved his hands up and down along Sean's spine making Sean jump.
They pulled away long enough for Sean to giggle at the tickling.
"Tickle," asked Max softly.
"Yea, but it feels nice," replied Sean as they went back to kissing.
They leaned into each other making the kiss a passionate one, not a tender loving one as it used to be. They were comfortable now. They went slower then faster each worrying that one will not like it, but both did. They laid down on the bed kissing gently yet passionately now, both never wanting it to end between them. They held each other tight loving each other like a whole new passion. They now knew they loved each other very, very much.
They let their passions carry them into the next chapter of their lives, their love. Max moved his hands along Sean's body feeling his heat, his heart beating with the passions of love. He began to lift Sean's shirt as Sean began to lift his over his head. They broke the kiss and giggled all the way as each other took their shirts off and exposed themselves to each other.
Max went back in to kiss Sean and feel Sean under him, his heart thumping faster and faster just like his. They didn't know where this would lead, but they knew it would lead somewhere so amazingly beautiful as they went. Max undid Sean's pants and began to move up and down ontop of him, both breathing faster with each kiss, each thrust. Nothing could be better than this. Max slide Sean's pants off and threw them in the corner of the room, their love and passion taking over.
Sean finally got the chance to undo Max's jeans and slip them off just as fast and both began to feel each other over and over again love entwined and so full of passions that they just went with the flow of where it was leading them. Leading them deep into the night.
Sean awoke to find a soft, warm body snuggled beside him under the sheets they shared the next morning. He looked down at Max and kissed him on the head, smelling his sweet cented hair. He held him closer and Max snuggled tighter.
"Morning sweetie," said Sean.
"Morning hottie," replied Max with a chuckle.
"Very funny," said Sean with a big idiotic grin rampant on his face. They shared a deep, gentle kiss and snuggled back into each other. Max within Sean's protective arms, content and happy just like him. Both remembered last night well and with deep love sheltered in it. Both knew they loved each other and it was the most magickal night they could have ever imagined.
Both were too content in each others arms to even leave the bed and get dressed in the least. Both just wanted to stay together all day long, but both knew they had to get up before anyone sees them together, naked too. They had to find out what had happened in the past day or so.
Sean leaned down and kissed Max on the head again," I think we should get up my love."
Max nodded, sighed, and groaned his consent," Yea, I guess we better get up."
Max looked up and kissed Sean softly, passionately on the lips again then got up so Sean could get up and ready like he needed to do. Sean got out from the bed feeling the air around him as he went to get his underwear from the lamp in the room......wait.....lamp? Sean froze in place and wondered how a lamp, of all things, got into the room......his room?
He looked around frantically not knowing what to think of this at all. The last thing he remembered was being in his sisters room, not his room. They should be in his sister's room! Max sensing his love's distress came over to him and hugged him from behind.
"What's wrong," he asked.
"We are supposed to be in my sister's room, not my room," he replied, voice a little too high.
"I know I carried you to this room when you feel asleep," replied Max.
Sean slowly shook his head, thinking of the lamp that wasn't supposed to be in that spot, especially if it wasn't even a lamp he owned either. He puzzled over this for several seconds feeling Max waiting for his answer.
He shook his head and said, turning around to hold Max again," Never mind, I guess I'm not fully awake yet."
Sean kissed Max again and both went back to put their clothes on again. I know something's wrong our clothes are all over the place, he thought quickly, something is very wrong. He thought and thought of what happened when they awoke all morning long and into most of the day and into the next thinking about who he should be trusting and what was truly going on. All the while his friends, lover, and family were all under the same roof. He tried asking again, but no answer came into his possession. He was truly worried about Max too, for Max had no clue what was going on either and still didn't know how he got dragged along. Him and Sean were both glad he was, but both wondered why. Sean knew something was going on and his parents and aunt knew more about it than they all did. He truly had some thinking to do about how and who to approach to find the answers he sought.

He stared out his window, pondering upon the rain splattering on the sille. His thoughts turned dark like they usually did wondering, always wondering, if he screwed up or hurt someone without knowing it, but still not sure why he even thinks upon those thoughts in the first place. The rest of his thoughts were, most times, of his suicide, but, luckly, he was a coward when it came to that. He thought of it and hurt himself at times, sometimes the people around him, just like they hurt him. He always seemed to pull through no matter how bad his twisted and painful ponderings took him.
He continued to rove over the landscape taking in the highway just at the end of the road. Gazing at the rain as it began to flood the yard and staring at the flashing sky. He had always found a fasination with the lightening and the sky and the blissful wind and rain. He always had hope when he felt the rush of the wind upon his face, making his insides glow. Sometimes he thought the wind was helping him more than the rest of the people in his life were. They were all just trying to win him over when all he wanted to do was win himself back.
He sighed as another beautiful blaze of white fire streaked across the sky. He loved the blaze, but today he could care less. He felt something very wrong was going on. Boy I wish I could feel the wind upon my face, he thought. But he had to stay inside with his dog, she hated storms anymore. He always thought she would never get old with the passing time, but here she was....old, falling apart. He always thought. He sighed again as his dog, Mandy, came to lick his face and rub against him, wanting comfort from the storm. He knew it didn't help with his curtains open, but he wanted to watch a storm like he used to, even with his best freinds again would have felt nice, but everytime he got to see them they would leave him out of the little group, like he didn't matter to them. He did know that two of his best friends thought he mattered, but he still would feel left out. He didn't want to tell them because he would be afraid that the other one would turn it onto him and blame him like he always did and his other friends would feel bad. He didn't like it when he made them feel bad over something as trivile as this. He knew when he finally dated the one he wanted to date more that anything at this point then they would begin to feel that he was ignoring him. So it would be pointless if I said anything, he thought sadly.
He closed the curtain and moved on to his computer and turned it on as he got dressed in his favorite bed clothes; his Spongebob pants with his yellow tiger shirt. He slipped into his pants and went over to his computer again and began to connect to the internet. As he began to connect and put his shirt on the lights flickered as a loud thunder clap shut the power off all over the house. Mandy jumped off his bed and made her way over to him and rubbed up against him shaking like a leaf, petrified. Another thunder clap rent the air outside and made the while house shake with vigor. He almose fell down.
"That was not weird at all," he said with a tone of sarcasm and shock.
He went directly to his window, Mandy on his heels, and opened up the curtain to see outside. He could tell, somehow, that the darkness outside was even thicker than before, after the thunder claps. This is very weird, he thought. He just stared out the window as he noticed lights coming down the road, a car. Yes it was a car, hard to make out first, even with the lights set to bright, it moved down the road at an insane pace and then it turned on its turn signal to pull into his driveway. His parents were home. But before he moved from the window he noticed a second set of lights and saw that it was a van, a van that his aunt owned. That van also turned its turn signal on and came into the driveway at the same exact pace as his parents car.
He knew something was wrong when he rushed downstairs to see what was transpiring outside. He definately knew now that the night air was deeper and darker than it usulally would be, even with the full moon shining. It was darker outsiede than usual and in his book that didn't bode well, not at all.
He heard doors slamming outside as the ocupints of the car and van rushed out of them and to the house to get inside. He ran to the door just in time to open it and see a white faced Anthony coming at him.
Now this is really weird, he thought, my parents would never, ever have his best friends with them, at all! He was truly shocked and definately knew something was up. As Anthony came upon him his other two best friends, Anna and Kevin, came around the bend with Max close behind. He heard more doors slam shut and racing feet and raised voices rending the air as his parents, aunt, and cousins came behind his friends. He noticed something....differnet....about them, but he wasn't sure what. He did notice their pail faces looking at him and ragged breathing.
He opened the door just in time for his frineds to pass through and ask, "What's going on?"
His heated reply from Anthony was a, almose, "shut up its nothing" sort of reply he always used in any serious conversation, so he didn't push the issue with him as he rounded the corner, pail as a ghost, into the living room, Mandy behind him. He then turned his attention to his other friends and ask the same thing, but they couldn't tell him. They said is was "nothing really." so he ignored them and turned to his parents to ask them why they had his friends with them.... AT ALL!
The only reply he got out of either of them was "Because you need them."
Now that statement really shocked his sences and making his curiosity perk even more than it already was at this point. He didn't even try asking his aunt and cousins because he knew that they would have a similar answer to all of the ones he already recived in the first place.
He closed the door on the last of the weird group and went to follow them into the living room. He stared at their faces and could tell they were shaken to the core their faces were practically bleached white.
His parents and his aunt were on the..........giant couch? He just noticed that it was distorted. The couch was distorted? His thought began to spin and so did his head. He felt dizzy all of a sudden. He fell down, flat on his face. When he fell everyones attention turned to him in a flash and everyone wondered and asked if he was alright and all of them at once tried to pick him up. His fall seemed a reflective relief. A reprive from what they heard, what they saw, what they knew. It was a burden that they would not tell him at all.
"I'm alright," he said, picking himself up off the floor.
"Good," everyone, practically, said in unison. Now that was even weider, he thought, what is going on! His thoughts screamed to know what was going on, but something sai to keep his mouth shut, just for a little while at least.
He picked himself up and everyone went about doing what ever pleased them. His friends, sister, and cousins all went upstairs, while the adults went back into the kitchen. He looked around back to the couchs and could see that they were still a little big, but they looked smaller than the last time he looed at them.
Serioosly what is going on, his frustrated thoughts asked. He had to find out, but no one seemed to want to tell him anything, anything at all! He had to find out.
He thought about going upstairs and find out from his sister, friends, and cousins because they always at least listened to him, well not Anthony, but he still tried, but he thought better of it and went for the kitchen. He noticed too that the sound in the rooms of the house was distorted. It had sound running though it, but only muffled sound, even the decresing lightening outside was muffled. He could feel the vibrations of the storm, but only slightly too it was decreasing he could feel it. Good at least the storm will be over in a bit, he thought before adventuring into the kitchen.
As he entered he saw that the adults were talking in low voices as it is, but they stopped as he entered. He saw something truly forebiding in their gazes so he just went to the fridge and non-chalantly got out a bottle of water and opened it. As he opened the water everything was in a tense silence as he started to make his way out. The air seemed to be holding its breath.
As he began to leave he finally asked, "So.....What's going on with everyone?"
He looked each of his parents in the eyes then his aunt to find any answers, but saw only anger and terror, unpronounced terror, he had to find out what that terror was.
He just got stared back and sweet, fake, innocent smiles out of them and a, "It's okay Sean nothings wrong."
He knew the tones, he wasn't going to get anythign out of them so he just left to go converse with his cousins, sister, and friends upstairs. He slowly walked upstairs trying to hear them discussing anything, anythign at all that would help his cause of finding answers.
He heard them talking in low tones, almost sounding like they had a secret that wasn't ment to be overheard. He slowly walked upstairs catching tidbits of "what are we going to do?" and "Should we actually do something" and "Should we even tell him" and "what would happen if we didn't, we have to do something or all is lost you heard what........." He made the stairs creak with his silent movements.
"Damn it," he muttered before he entered the now silent room.
As he entered he did get tender smiles from his friends, sister, and cousins that were a change, a nice change, but a disturbing one at that. He wanted to know what was going on, but he probably wouldn't get a thing out of them either. He just smiled back and ask, "What's up?"
They all said a little too tense and fast for his tastes, "Nothing!"
They all looked to each other almost as if scolding each other. Now he was bound determined to get some answers out of them. He also just noticed that the lights were finally back on. Okay this night is turning out to be something from the damn Twilight Zone, he thought in anger.
"That's it, " he screamed," what the fuck is going on!!?? I want some answers now!"
As he ranted all their faces turned paler than they were before they entered the house, all except Max's face, he just turned away in shame at least. They were definately hiding something from him. Their faces were even scared too. Something was terrorably wrong with all of them.
Anna was the first to answer, " We can't tell you because we don't know what's really going on ourselves. We were just told something that scared us and stuff. We really aren't sure what has happened. We aren't even allowed to say anything at all to you, Sean. I'm sorry"
She said her "I'm sorry" with an air of civlity to it, but with real emotion behind it. He knew, truly, that what she said was true to the core. They had no idea what was going on at all. But something didn't add up to what he had heard them say when he was evesdropping on their conversation.
"Then what should you tell me," he asked with emphazis on "should."
They all looked to each other, but Anna was the first to speak, yet again, for everyone in the room. "Sean," she began gently, almost too gently, he thought, "we ran into some trouble......all of us we were all caught in the rain at Meijer and your parents and aunt were both there, including Max," she said pointing to him.
"We were all caught in the rain when something very straged happened. A bright flash of white light, nothing like a real lightening bolt, but a white light none the less. It happened to appear a lady, a scatly clad lady," she said, trying to make everyone laugh, it didn't quite work so she continued on with the story.
She continued nervously," She had wings, Sean, wings!!!!"
"She said that you were the one and all of us had to protect you until the time came and that none of us would be hurt in the process, hopefully," she said with nerves twinging," she said that you were the One or something. That's all I can say, I'm sorry, but we rushed home, compeled to come to you. We did run into some trouble on the way here as you probably noticed out the window."
Sean nodded his head. He knew well what she was talking about that part makes sence. The lightening destroying the electricity and the emence vibrations and the thick night air. That came together, but he wasn't sure about everything else that he just heard, it made no sence what so ever.
"Sean that's all we know okay," she said with a little pleading in her voice.
He just said "okay" and walked out of the room and into his sisters. Pondering yet again on his thoughts. This truly was a Twilight Zoney night, he thought, something will happen soon I know it, but I'm not sure what it will be or when it will be. I just hope it doesn't come soon, he thought strangely.

Sam reined in him horse with precision skill just next to the army that was emerging from the crimson portal. He looked to the sky at his love and what he had become, a magnificent, beautiful Dragon. He had to make sure he was close enough to mind-speak with Imhotep or he wouldn't know what was coming towards them and what he was planning to do to help. He could hear many screams that tore through the sakies. Now I don't need to tell him, thought Sam as the decaying screams reached all their ears.
The screams sounded like a thousand souls screaming all at once, but with a distinct grindning sound of disused vocal chords. He then realized that they were the Ancients, Dragons, they weren't Devils at all. Someone must have raised them from the dead, his thoughts screamed, this could be very bad.
He gouged out how long until they came upon them in all their fury. He knew about Dragons because they were a passion of his. He knew all the speices of Dragon and what each culture was like, but he never imagined that he would get to view them up close and personal. He felt the continued wind whiooing around his face and tried to keep on breathing just like their allies emerging through the crimson portal. He had to act fast and act fast he did.
He began to sing a beautiful rhapsody of his making and unraveling for their new found friends. He was also proficient in Necromancy too. He kept the dead down not alive like some of his fellows that wished to abuse there privalage. The Necromatic community was here to preserve the dead and help them find peace in the River of Cascadia or the Dead River by some. He had only visited the River in several of his travels to keep down a Groudecantox, a powerful dead adept that used to be a Necromancer.
He knew how to keep the dead down, but not this many. So he mind-spoke to his love. Imhotep, my love, I need some of your magickal strength.
Why? asked Imhotep. But he need not say much more because he felt the dead coming out of the corner of his mind.
Oh never mind I know what you mean, he replied. Here you go my love, but remember this is all I can give you until I can get everyone through the portal.
Sam nodded slightly as he drew in his love's extra power. He tapped the magick like a parasite. He gathered his magickal strength in the process as the catapults started to fire upon the beasts and their allies began the assault on the Devils.
Sam moved his arms in intricate patterns as he continued to sing something so beautiful and compleling. His voice carried over the den of battle and death screams and carried all the way to the skies. His voice penitrated everythings soul and being. It carried far and high. The Cloverians, Cratynians, and his people, the Margonicox all began to be filled with hope and fury for battle. The Devils and their cohorts began to feel real fear for the first time. The Anciant Dead Dragons circled over head swooping in and attacking the catapults felt the beautiful music too, but for them it was leathal. The litany made them flee back to the River and back far into Death itself.
As they fled the bodies, the bodies began to crumble and fall back to earth. Unfortunately the bodies were crashing into his people and their allies, but he had no choice more deaths would be delt and then they had no way to truly retreat. He began to get wearker and weaker so he tapped into his love's magick and sent a shock wave of power towards the undead Dragons. He sent the wave in a wide dispersal and sent most back into death until there was only ten more out of the hundred that he felt before they began their attack run.
Imhotep then let go of the portal as the last of the Cratynians came through. When the last emerged he let it go completely and swooped away and vered around to help destroy the last of the undead Dragons. He desended upon them in all fury, eyes blaing again. He stopped the tornados, but kept up the clouds just in case. He used his sencces and felt for the lightening in the air and sent bolt after bolt into one undead Dragon as he delt with one of them. He vered in from above and came crashing down and dug in his claws and ripped their bodies apart, limb from limb.
Sam kept up his beautiful litany in his voice moving from one octave back to the next keeping a constant pace. He was helping to inspire his people to have no fear and attack the Devils in full force. He knew he was losing concentratinon when he messed up on a pitch. He was getting weaker now.
Imhotep felt his Sam losing his concentration and knew he was about to give out so he roared his might inspiring fear into the Devils down below as he swooped in to use his massive bulk and deadly claws to render the Devils useless. He delt death like a mad man. He had to protect his love and he was damn well not going to let anything happen to him.
Morious, Dredon, and Elizabeth directed their forces as they used their own spells and swords, sometimes both, to keep the battle in their favor. Morious circled in his saddle as his horse pushed trough a mob of small attacking Devils and shot a bolt of redish golden flame out of the end of his bejeweled sword. It struck them with a jaring force, even for him. He was angry too and filled with Sam's song. He was going to win. They were all determined to win.
Elizabeth used her magick rod, Stargazer, against the Giant-Devils and brought them down in a blinding white fury. She used wave after wave of light to dispence death using unbelivle power. The waves glistened with her new found fury and kept on going. She just kept sweeping Stargazer in an arc. She wasn't sure how she was doing it either, but it felt good.
Dredon dodge out of the way of a Devil with four arms, full of broadswords swining. It kept trying to chop his head off, but he proved to be even faster than he thought and dodged the swing sword coming from the monsters lower left arm and sumersulted over the upper left swinging sword. He then roled as the Devils both right broadswords came rushing in and chopping the ground sending spray in a direction. Dredon moved like a spider and vaulted over the Devils head and as he did he used both of his magickal swords of Ancient make and sliced the Devils back sending it in a righteous flames.
Imhotep swored over all their heads proud of their abilites and swooped in to protect his Sam from any harm. His people had been able to surrouind hims as he sung his battle litany, but they were being slaughtered. He knew Sam had to keep this up or they would surly fail. The numbers of the enemy was vast and even with the help from the Cratyians they still were out numbered four to one. He knew Sam's song was the only thing keeping the enemies full potential at bay.
He soared in out of nowhere and landed on the ground behind the enemy, crushing several in the process, and lashed his gargantuan tail at the rest, clearing a path for him to conitnue to stomp and chomp at the enemy surrounding his love. He would not let them hurt him. Not while he still lived to say anything about it. His roar of hatred and fury shook the ground sprawling some Devils down to the ground. Sending a shower of Devils to their well deserved deaths.
As the battle continued the Devils began to understand retreat was the best possible thing to acheive. So they began to cover their retreat back into the deep Desert Plains. Back into Fostiria and their allies to regroup and fight another day.
The Cloverians, Cratyians, and the Margonicox won the day, but kept up the battle as long as they could to keep the Devils numbers diminished for the next battle they knew would come, but with more deadly foes to conquer. The day was truly won!
"We kill them all," said Imhotep under his breath. He was pissed off and he wasn't sure how to express his anger...except in a well placed volley of fire! He hadn't used this spell for quit some time actually, not since his encounter with the Devil King a meager two years ago. He now knew this powerful spell would come in handy right about now. But nobody, not even his love and best friends, knew he could do this spell, and neither did his enemies. Now they would and he didn't care....he could always learn more.
He felt for the Inner-Gift that he knew was always there. It was a gift from the Angels and he intended to use it to its fullest abilites. He felt for his soul and knew it would be brightest there. He bent his will towards his soul and felt out the Angelic
Powers inside of his very beaing. He bent the will and sort of "moved" his soul on the outside. This would allow him to become something much more than himself. He would become, in every sence of the word, Angel.
His power swirled and congealed within him to be brought outwards into his vassal, his material body, and sent it forth. He then began to change into an amazing beautiful creature of pure spelndor and greatness, an Angel.
A blazing white fury enveloped Imhotep in all its glory, blinding everyone around him, including Elizabeth. She knew Imhotep was very powerful but she was never sure how powerful he truly was. I guess this is my chance to find out, she thought, and so far he's stronger than any of several Satanyian War-Wizards placed together against him. I know this spell too and only a gift from the Angels could have given it to him. This was going ot be a short fight after all. She knew this Light Magick with the back of her hand and he was not only going to send Spell Fury down upon their enemys he was also bringing their alis to them.
He began to grow brighter and brighter his sillouete completely gone. No one would be able to know which sex was underneath that bright fury. Everyone around was in complte shock and no matter how bright he was getting everyone continued to stare in wonderment.
All in the army knew their Duke was a Master of Magick but they never really knew how powerful he was and now they understood just how powerful he was, and angry.
Elizabeth had to move away from her friend because she could feel his utter fury and he was getting too hot. His horse had already ran away. His translucent, bright white form was floating off the ground. Morious, Dredon, and Sam just stared at him not knowing what to make of it, least of all his lover. Sam just stared realizing how powerful his love truly was. He know knew what Imhotep had always told him and the devastating, lethal secret he had carried for him.
As he watched his loves form congealed into a complete ball of furious light and intention. The ball of light shot directly into the swirling grey mass of clouds overhead. As the giant ball of white fury escaped to the sky the sky answered its call and began to move in a massive cirle of pure hate. The clouds swirled slowly but had lightening crackling all around. THe sky was truly light up now.
The white fury and massive swirling cloud formation intercepted each other and burst in a massive shower of beauty and fury. The wind then began to pick up on both sides, but, fortunately, the other side was in panic.
Sam, Dredon, Morious, and Elizabeth all looked to the massive army arayed against them and saw that the army was in a panic. It was utter chaos for them. I guess they know whats about to befall them, thought all of them at once. And, yes, they knew what was going to happen to them looking pon the threatening skies and white fury. They knew Angelic Powers when they saw them. It was rare, but they knew it when they saw it. The Devils had one option left. THey had known that this enemy had something up its sleeves, but did not know what, and now they know what that something was. But they had a plan of their own too. Another devastating one at that too.
Sam turned back to his beautiful, furious lover and knew it was almost time for him to unleash that fury upon those Devils. He watched as the white fury stopped just before it truly reached the amassing, swirling clouds. It congealed yet again but this time it began to take on a shape of its own. And what Sam, Dredon, Elizabeth, and Morious saw was truly the most beautiful thing they would ever see in their lives.
A dragon of such beauty that made anyone watching it would know true bliss and Light, a hopefullness that would lend strength in the darkest hour of anyones lives. A beauty that made you cry fiersly that it would never go away for a very, very long time.
The dragon was in its final formation and it was breathtaking, heart stopping furious. It eyes were blazing white embers, burning actually. Everyone doubt they could withstand the fury from the eyes let alone what it could unlesh. The dragon was white-silver in color. Wings translucent and rippled with different colors of the rainbow. It was a truly large dragon too. Its bodys length looked as if it could have several hundrend people standing next to it just to its length and ninety people high to take all the height to match. It was a truly magnificent beast and that was the one I fellin love with, thought Sam, smileing away.
Imhotep moved his, now massive, head towards the desert just behind the Devils. And all in panic, thought Imhotep happily, just what I was hoping for. He began to flap his wings readying himself for his assalt on the mass against the Cloverians and his people. As he flapped his siniuos, powerful wings he massed his power so he could open the portal needed to let their allies get here to help a lot faster than they normally could.
His gaze assulted places that would be strategically sound to let them trough without anyone of them getting hurt, until they entered the fight. He would be stuck in his form for several days, but it was worth it if it ment saving his people and their allies. He had had enough of this and he was bound determined to end it. He wanted a good display to, a good show so they could recover at least for the second round.
His gaze found a perfect place to set down his portal. He concentrated his gaze and will onto that spot and shaped the power needed to move such an army that he could feel coming to help them.
He used mind-speech to contact their Mages and told them what he was about to do.....move an army over several leagues of an army of 10,000 at least. He knew he could do it but his Spell Fire was going to be lessened, but he thought it was worthe the risk.
Besides he could use his dragon form to all their advantage by dropping rocks on top of them or bambarding them with spells from his lover, Sam. They always worked well as a team, he briefly thought.
He built his power up and losened it with a fury, just to keep the evil at bay for their allies to get through. He now had his power ready and he was damn sure going to make a good display of it. He brought the clouds blazing lightenings over to the south side of the desert he was going to have the army come in from the side of the army massed against them. It seemed to be the weekest point in the formation.
Imhotep had the clouds swirl down and around him, he was going to make a diversion and he was going to make it a damatic one too. He called the clouds around him, making them surrond him and his castings. He called them down and had them envelope him in all of its fury too. CLouds crackling with lightenings splashing across clouds and the sky lighting it all up with beauty and fear.
He moved the clouds out and around the enemy and made damn well sure that he scared the shit out of them. Imhotep wanted to make this a good one to remember for these bastards trying to hurt his people, his friends, and his love. He would not allow it.
He kept up his casting controlling the heavy clouds at the same time, directing their flow outwards to all sides of the massive force of Devils. A tornado of sorts spewed forth from the cloud enveloping Imhotep at a fast pace. It looked as if tendrales were about to smack down upon everything in its path. And as it happened thats exactly what it did, it moved as if it were tendrales and came crashing down upon the enemy massed against the forces of Light. Several tornados hit with a force of a powerful hurricane.
It tossed Devils all over the Desert Plain, grass and sand flew all over the plain. It was so powerful it killed all the Devils impersionasions of giants in a heart beat.
While the multiple tornados splayed Devils across the Dessert Plain, Imhotep flapped his beautifull wings upwards and over the cloud formation to fly close to the south side of their army and cast the magick for the portal.
While he did this his own force was in complete amazment, especially his best friends. All just had to stand and watch their Duke deal out death for them.
As they watched Sam looked all over to try and see his sweet heart somewhere, anywhere. He began to panic as the clouds took him into them, but saw a massive creature move upwards and thought the worst. Maybe another dragon, an evil one showed up, he thought. But then he saw movement out of the corner of hi eyes and knew that he was okay, and finally understood what his sweetie was doing. He was making a show so he could get their allies forces here unnoticed.
And I think its working really well, thought Sam, really, really well. That's my love, he thought, always liked the dramatic though, but in a good way. He just grinned at the thought as he saw his love desend out of the skies in all his blazing fury. He did notice that his eyes weren't as fiery as they were when he first cahnged shape, but he could still feel his love's ferocity still there. He watched as the air under his love's claws began to ripple as a river or water sorce would when a rock was thrown into it.
Imhotep's claws began to have swirling lights around them, glowing bright red too. The lights swirled faster and faster until they shot into the rippling air of the portal. The rippling mass turned a crimson red and landed softly onto the ground. A rush of air swirled into exictence as the rippling, crimson mass landed, but it was strong magick.....very strong magick at work.
As Sam watch Imhotep perform, he felt a tingling at the back of his mind and wondered what it was. It wasn't threatening, until he began to concentrate deeper and began to understand what was coming. Not through the portal his love was using, but from behind them. He quickly turned as Imhotep finished his connection and their allies began to come through in a rush, and what he saw stilled his heart for a split second...A massive black cloud was coming from the south.
Sam then realized what that truly ment...the enemy had swung in behind their forces and was now using a pincer move, just like his love was trying to acheive. It seemed now it was a mistake. The black cloud then turned into what he feared the most, a host of Devils in the shapes of the Ancients, Dragons, just like his love was in the form now, but vastly perverted.
The Devil Dragons looked as if they shouldn't have been able to fly at all for the flesh was all rotted away, eyes like glowing, putrid perversions of fiery embers. Wings nothing but skeletons. He could just make out their creakings. The sinous bodies skeltal also, the flesh only made the differnece. Sam knew they now faced an arial assalt.
"And my love has just used his most leathal attack," muttered Sam.
His face turned grim and angry and said again, "But I haven't used mine just yet."
He turned to face Morious and shouted over the tornadadic winds, "Look to the south of us! Make ready the catapults!"
With that shout he spurred his horse and raced towards their emerging allies and his love and he needed to be quick about it too.
The fear that's driven us this far is our fault isn't it, thought Imhotep. Something is truly amiss in this war. And it's not anything he could think of at that moment.
His gaze roved over the desert plains wondering what the enemy had for them next. Was it going to be another wave of Devils or something far worse in comparison. Everyone in the army believed it was to be the ladder. They knew the Fostirians were easily prepared for a lasting conflict and with the desert too. They knew they even were far out numbered. If the Cratyrians could not make it in time then they would, easily, lose this war.
Nothing could make any one so desperate and depressed as that knowledge hanging over your head. Imhotep stared over the Desert Wastes knowing he could not see the next installment, but knew it was coming. He stared out over the deserts beauty and cruelty and knew that he would fight to keep these, Fostirians, where they belonged. He was hell bent on it. And if the Abyss took them then all the better, he thought vehemently.
He then began to think how all this could have happened in such short of time, especially after an amazing wedding and of his best friends too. He knew something had went wrong. It had all been about peace between the Cloverians, not all out war and hatred. Something had gone terribly wrong.
The wedding had been so beautiful most people were crying their eyes out, as the saying went, nothing was more beautiful. As the wedding was in progress the war began. Fostoria had invaded the desert plains of Cratyn, with very powerful allies at their backs, the Satynians. The Satynians hated all life and everyone in Cratyn were very surprised to here they had allied themselves with the Fostirians. A horrid lullaby in the making it was, the powerful Devils summoned by the Satynians War-Wizards were terrible. The Devils attacked anything in sight women, children, it did not matter to them, all that mattered was death and the Chaos that they continuously fed upon.
The Devils were made of pure shadow and evil from the Chaos that they fed upon, especially in war. Their whole bodies were wreathed in shadow, heads looked like grinning skulls, flesh dripping from their very bodies, pointed teeth as vampires would have draining souls in their paths. They were the embodiment of evil, but they were only lackeys, and that was the most scary part. No body knew what true evil ever really looked like at all, but the Devils gave a glimpse into the very soul itself and all around. Whatever Higher Evil that was out there it sure was not known. All knew that if there was Higher Light that there would be Higher Evil somewhere in the world.
The horns began to blow again as Imhotep look out over the desert plains seeing a cloud building from the south and coming in their very direction. It was time. They were back. The horns began to scream louder with every passing second as the cloud began to come in faster. And with the cloud, only God and Goddess knew what it would be.
The first battle was devastating enough, but Imhotep knew what he and his people knew what to do, while giving time to their allies, the Cratynians. With their help they knew they would be able to win this war. He watched the progress of the black cloud that blotted out all light around and turned back to the army. They were already ready for what was to come now. He smiled inwardly at his people and their resolve to keep their homes and families and friends, as he was going to do. He turned and turned on his horse watching his people on the desert plains waiting for the battle to come, as his own best friends came over to him.
"Are we ready," asked Sam.
"As ready as we will ever be," replied Imhotep.
Elizabeth rode up next to Imhotep and asked, "When should I cast the spell?"
"I'm not sure yet, my friend, I'm not sure that it will work this time they weren't prepared and now I think they very much are."
"Imhotep's right, my love, they are going to be ready this time, but our problem is that that spell was the only thing that had been able to stop them," said Morious.
"I agree too, we should make a surprise for them though," said Dredon.
Imhotep smiled mischievously and said, "Yes, I can agree to that."
They all gazed out to the black cloud, "eating" the light all around it, and thought of a way to surprise their enemies again. Sam thought and thought until he had something and knew that it would sure as hell surprise the bastards, but did not know if they could pull it off.
"I have an idea," he said tentively, "we know light hurts them and since that cloud is eating light they must surely know what we have on our side, so we get rid of the cloud."
"No really," said Dredon sarcastically, "I did not know that it was that easy."
Sam just smiled at his friend's cynicism and knew he was only joking, so he went to continue on with his idea that was just forming.
"I think the best way is to divide and confuse the enemy by splitting our force into three segments that will look as if to surround the enemy, but in reality they are creating a diversion as Imhotep and Elizabeth use their own personal spells. Imhotep to move the cloud and Elizabeth to get them with her Light Magick. It's the best I can think of."
He shrugged his shoulders as all of his friends stared at him in amazement, all thinking "why didn't I think of that!" All agreed that it was a damn good plan and it might just work for them, but the problem was their number of forces, the enemy vastly out numbered them 5 to 1. Their forces could easily split into three also and so could the cloud. The plan would need the cloud to be able to not split with the force. All was riding on the cloud NOT splitting. If that happened they would be caught off guard and their forces split in three. Easy targets for a force made to slaughter, a force with Devils at their front. It was up to God and Goddess now.
"It sounds like a good plan to me, now let's hope that the cloud does not split and cover their split forces," replied Imhotep into the silence.
He and Elizabeth moved into their positions at the head of the army, ready to cast their spells when their force moves to intercept. As Imhotep called on the power of the Storms he looked over at his friend Elizabeth and began to watch her as she drew on her own power. They had to cast these spells fast, very fast.
The army moved into position as the Dark Cloud came upon them, eating all light around it as it came. Morious could see the fear in his peoples eyes as the devastating cloud came for them. He brought his horse around ready for a charge with his regiment. He watched as the auras around his wife and best friend began to brighten or darken, as the case with his best friend, swirl all inside of them. The air around them began to change and move around them. Their hair flying around them air warping. He knew they were ready to unleash their spells at the enemy.
Morious, Sam, and Dredon drew their swords out of their mighty scabbards. Swords raised, shining in the air, they brought them down in a swift stroke signaling for the advance. The massive army, that was left of it, ,moved forward like a gale force ready to deal death at these creatures trying to destroy their lives. They would not be standing for it. Sam watched as his love began to sing a litany of hope and war through his powerful, high baritone. He saw him move his arms and hands in intricate patterns in the air around him. He continued to watch as Imhotep made his final practiced move with his glowing rod of swirling power.
The rod glowed dark green at the head where the beautiful emerald laid resting in its semblance of a pedestal. The head looked like a resting skeletal claw, but looked more like an alter head than anything with its beauty circling the entire rod. Imhotep dipped the rod in front of him in a lunar arc and shot the rod to the sky as he finished a note. The area turned an emerald green as a ball of furious green lantern light shot to the skies in a burst of blinding green light.
The air above everyone's heads exploded and the sky began to swirl in green light blotting out the sun's glorious light. Everyone could see the green light being absorbed by the Dark Cloud, but for some reason it didn't matter anymore. The army stopped to see the magnificent display of pure power and ability brought to them by one of their leaders, Duke Imhotep. The army knew he was a powerful master of magick but this just didn't cover the rumors! They watched as he reared his horse high and continued to master his spells fury and controlled the skies above their heads. The display was inspiring. The army felt the inspiration as the air in front of them began to ripple with power as the sky turned a combination of green and pitch black.
The air in front of them moved with such a fury that they had to cover their eyes and noses. The desert picked up the wind and made a gigantic wall of desert sand leading toward the Dark Cloud. They watched as the whirlwind ripped into the Cloud and tore at its foundations. Ripping it open for the world to see. And what they saw made them all want to run as fast as they could in the other direction.
As the Cloud parted the faces of evil became clear as a massive army, more than they all had expected, came at them, faces grinning. No Fostirians were anywhere near the conflagration. All that was left in the Cloud were walking corpses and Devils with wings and without.
All knew that those rotting corpses were the Fostirians, but they did not know why they were all dead. All they could see was the massive Devils bearing down at them in a semblance of the Giants of Kargothania, the Dragoons of Dormiria, and the Dragons of Airiana. They were a gross fabrication of them all. The flesh of the Fostirians were all falling off, some didn't even have a head or some didn't have any legs, but all knew how strong the dead could be.
Imhotep, Sam, Dredon, Morious, and Elizabeth know knew they faced something very, very dangerous to even behold. The Cratyians needed to get here and get here fast!
Imhotep began to gather more of his power to him upon seeing that evil bearing down on them all. He called out to the skies and all their fury. Elizabeth unleashed her furious magick as well. She drew her power up around her in a cloak of light. Her and her horse began to glow a gentle light as she continued to draw on her powers of Light. She raised her staff and called on its fury as well. She could feel her staff thrumming under her finger tips full of her fury at such mockery of life.
Her power began to make the very air swirl around her making her almost translucent as she built up more power than she thought she could handle, but she did it. She felt her power ready and she and her horse began to burst in a bright white light full of singing fury. Elizabeth began to sing a beautiful tune and shook the ground in the process. She was calling on all the Powers of Light that she knew.
The air around her began to intensify to the point that nothing could look upon her, but only her her beautiful voice being carried by Imhotep's wind. She was the Queen and she intended to make a good show of it.
She released her furious light with a shudder and sent a devastating bolt of pure white fire into the middle of the force. When the white fire hit the ground the earth shuddered with the fury of it no one was able to stand even some of the animals. It exploded in a blinding shower of light. It felt as if the sun was right next to your face, blinding you with its beauty. As the explosion moved on it tore through the enemy destroying most of the Dead and Devils. They could all see that the force was cut in half, but they were still outnumbered ten to one.
"What are we going to do," asked Morious to the silent, tense air.
Anthony stared forward wondering what would happen next. He just trotted along thinking of the past few days. Thinking on his kiss and Sean's powerful displays, wondering what it all meant. Wondering what had happened to all life on this planet. As they all stomped through the forests, looking at its silent, tense beauty, they noticed that no birds sang, no deer romped through ahead of them, no animals moving through the underbrush or around their feet, no squirrels, no chipmunks, no..... nothing, just a silent, tense atmoshere. As if it was all waiting for something to happen, thought Morious.
Sean just knew, somehow, that something was so terribly wrong, not just all that they seen, not even the demons, just something more intense than all of them put together. He felt a connection of terrible feeling that shook his very soul to a new crescendo. He knew something was horribly wrong with the situation all together. Sean even voiced his opinion quietly with his love, Anthony, when the group took a rest, making sure they did not tire themselves out too much. They had to stay in the forests. They had to make sure they could be truly safe.
"I think something wrong, sweetie," Sean said, laying in Anthony's arms on the cold, damp, earth.
"What do you mean," Anthony replied, kissing Sean on the back of the head.
"I mean something more is..... out there," Sean said waving his hand passionaltely in the direction of the night, "something is terribly wrong."
"And I don't mean the situation and the demons," said Sean, interrupting Anthony's joke. Sean smile and turned his head toward him and kissed him an the lips, gently and so full of love. He just smiled at him and Anthony smiled back, both totally in love with each other, totally in bliss with each others company.
Sean just snuggled back into place and both of them stared at the stars peeking through the canopy of the trees, gazing at the deep dark beauty that they held, their splendor, their secrets in that void they share. Sean wanted to know what they whispered at night, what they all whispered to each other. Sean just laid their in Anthony's arms, gazing at the stars, his heart entwined with his forever. He just snuggled closer to Anthony wanting to listen to his heart beat beneath his ear. He could hear it fluttering and breathing breathlessly. He could feel it beating with absolute love. Sean knew the feeling his did the same.
Anthony just smiled as Sean did that knowing he always wanted to just listen to it do what it did. He just laughed inside his head knowing Sean's was doing the same thing, stopping then starting again. He knew the feeling. He had that same feeling for Sean all along. He was just too scared to say anything. He did not want to scare Sean away, but know he knew he wouldn't have. He know knew he never had to be afraid of losing Sean. Sean was going to be with him forever. He knew Sean was always going to be there for him no matter what the cost was. Anthony just loved Sean even more.
Sean stopped listening to his heart as Anthony's stomach began to churn. Oh no, thought Anthony, he's going to want to listen to it "talk" to him again. Anthony just smiled as he noticed Sean hearing it gurgle at him.
"Hehehehe can I listen," Sean asked with a silly grin on his face. Anthony just nodded his head at him. Sean moved his head down to Anthony's stomach and put his ear to it. It churned at him again and Sean started giggling with quiet laughter.
"It's talking to me again," he said.
"I can see that," replied Anthony. Anthony just smiled and watched Sean listening to his stomach for a while longer until Sean lost interest. Sean moved back into Anthony's arms and kissed his chest, while Anthony kissed Sean's head. Both of them laying there loving to be in each others arms, in complete bliss with one another. Both hearts fluttering with love.
Anthony, Morious, and Anna waited until the next morning for Sean to wake up, but he didn't not for quit sometime. They all still had their make-shift weapons right next to them, or in Anna's case in her hand at all times, ready to use to defend themselves and their unconscious friend. None of them really got any sleep at all except Anthony, he had stayed up the entire time Sean was unconscious. He had stayed next to him whispering loving words to him and held him while he stroked his hair and face, wishing him to waken. Wanting to murder and maim whatever did this to him in the first place. He wanted to destroy them utterly, completely, into the dark abyss of oblivion.
All of them never really knew what had attacked them last night but they sure would not let it try it again, Morious was bent on it. No one or nothing will hurt his best friends at all and any costs. He felt he was partly responsible, but he knew Sean would scold him for that thought, knowing he was not, at all. It was whatever creature or being that attacked them last night and he aimed, just as mush as Anthony or close to, murder it into oblivion for what it had done. Anna just stared at Sean worried and afraid out of her mind, wondering what would happen next and she had no idea what she could do to help. So Anna just quietly prayed that they all would be okay, especially Sean. She wanted him to wake up just as much as the other two did. She even felt and urge to crush what had attack them last night too and to destroy what had done that to her best friend. She wanted to see it suffer and she was the one to do it.
Anthony was shaken and cold. He was afraid that his Sean would never wake up at all. He was snippy and a little distant to the other two. He was so disstrat that when he looked up his eyes were cold and malicious, so full of hate that anything that wanted to look into them would back off and run in the other direction as fast as possible. His eyes were so full of anger and hate that it made even his friends back off and that was just what they did. Anna or Morious would only ask, very briefly, if Sean was okay or not, and Anthony would only nod his head, wordlessly, coldly. They both knew to give him space. He was in protection mode. They knew he would not tolerate this much longer. They knew he could snap at them any minute. He was not himself. He was just so full of rage and loathing at what had done this to his love. He would not, could not, tolerate this.
He just stared into space like a zombie continuously whispering into Sean's still ear and stroked and caressed his face and hair, wishing him more and more to just wake up. He was so sick and tired of him just laying their. He wanted to wake him up himself. He even tried several times but Sean would not budge. So Anthony just counted down the hours like the rest of them.
He gazed at his watch one last time, exhausted beyond anything he could ever feel, when he noticed the sun blazing down through the forest canopy, lighting Sean and him in a brilliant, ethereal glow. So full of angelic splendor the sun gaze down on them that it made Morious and Anna, especially Anna, cry. Anthony never noticed he was looking at his watch noticing the time was only very early in the morning, the crack of dawn, when he felt movement in his lap.
He quickly looked at the unconscious Sean and said, "Sean? Sean?" Anthony shook him a little to wake him up faster.
"Hey guys!! Sean's awake!!" Anthony yelled out to his friends. They rushed over to Anthony and Sean's sides to see if he was completely okay. Sean just groaned and went straight for his, apparent, aching head. Anthony anxisously gazed down at Sean. Fretting over him, making sure he was truly okay. Anthony could not take it any more and gathered Sean into his arms, tearing up, close to crying his eyes out in relief.
Morious and Anna just watched and dived in to give both of them hugs, Morious and Anna crying. All three hugged Sean close to them, never wanting him to scare them like that ever again!
Sean groaned and finally said, almost fully awake, "What happened?"
Anthony, Morious, and Anna just burst into laughter and cried, holding Sean. Relieved that he was, apparently, okay. He was awake and they had him back with them.
"You have been out like forever bub," said a relieved Anna.
"Yea don't do that again," said Morious in mock seriousness, but burst into happy laughter anyway.
"I missed you," whispered Anthony into Sean's ear, still holding him close.
Sean just took all of it in stride, worried at what he had done to so worry his best friends, wondering what had happened to him. All Sean remembered was a force building inside him and him then letting it go. He remembered a fiery, white light explode inside him and around him and the little make-shift camp they had made for the night. He remembered bright stars swirling in his head and then blessed, black oblivion. He noticed that he was tired, but refreshed in spirit. He felt as if something had taken hold and he was master of himself. After all they all had been through he was the hardest hit. Wanting to just curl up and die, but now. Well, now he felt refreshed and revitalize in every way his soul could be. He did not feel any burdens. He was whole again. He was, almost, himself again. He felt so much more for Anthony at that moment, but he did not know why. So he just bask in its warmth and glory of its beauty.
Sean hugged Anthony close to him as Anthony did him and said, "I'm hungry." Everyone just burst into laughter, even the mellow Anthony. Sean just smiled as everyone of his best friends laughed their heads off.
"What," he asked in mock puzzlement, smiling mischievously now.
"That's nice Sean your always hungry," said Anna laughter tears rolling down her face.
She wiped them off as Anthony said in mock hurt, "Uh.. Hey!! What's wrong with that?"
Morious just shook his head, glad that everyone was back to "normal" again. All four laughed a good laugh, knowing they needed it in this, now tense, existence. They, finally, stopped laughing. All Sean's best friends gazed at him asking silently if he was okay and what had happened. Apparently last night, thought Sean, I've been out that long?
Sean leaned into Anthony's beautiful arms as he explained what had happened to him, the last thing he remembered. He described the feelings and what he did not know they meant, he even, finally, told them what had happened when they were fleeing for their lives. Anthony even placed some of what he had experienced, filling in the gaps were he could for Sean. They talked until about noontime, discussing what happened at what they should do next.
"We should find some food first," said Anthony.
Anna smiled and said mischievously, "Of course you guys need food that's all you ever want."
Anthony and Sean stuck their tongues at Anna and she stuck out hers back and they all laughed.
Sean leaned into Anthony, still a little weak, but feeling better than he ever thought, and said, "I'm not sure how far I will be able to go so I think we should flee from this forest before we get attacked again."
"Yea we need to leave. We got lucky as it is so far, thanks to Sean," Morious nodded toward him and continued, "We should get to another forest then find a house and find out what's happening. What we saw at the mall was not natural. We all know those were demons, but why are they here on the Earth. It's just not right."
Everyone went into a contemplative silence with those words, knowing they were absolutely true. They all needed to find a place to stay and possibly eat. They could not go back the way they came for fear of the demons finding them. Besides they should stay in the forests as much as possible, the demons seemed to fear the forests. All four gathered themselves up. Morious quickly giving Sean a nawraled tree to use as a staff as a weapon.
Anthony stayed close beside Sean making sure he did not collapse because he knew Sean was still a little weak , even though his paler was much better. Morious and Anna led the way, all four staying close together watching the trees around them and watching each other. Making sure they all had each others back they fled the forest they were in and quickly moved towards the forest across the field. Anthony, Sean, Anna, and Morious especially kept close watch on the skies and eyes roving over the field, making sure they would not be ambushed. They knew the enemy could fly at them any moment. God only knew what other forces were out there that would want them dead too, especially the apparent ones in the forest. They left one area of the enemy, but they all felt they were entering the domain of another. Keeping close watch they moved on, one step at a time.
Sean awoke to find Anthony sleeping soundly in his lap, drooling. Sean just laughed slightly and stroked his love's hair, then bent to kiss him on the head, careful not to wake him. It was still night out and the stars were blurry and shining in the sky with all their glorious beauty. The stars are ok, thought Sean, then why is this happening? I have to protect my best friends, especially my love, but I don't think I can. We must fight together but we need some extra help.
Sean was never a sound sleeper, but was better controlling it. His nightmares and visions never allowed him to sleep at night sometimes, especially the remote viewing, it was scary but he was trying. He just stared out at the night air and felt the winds cold, gentle, loving breeze. The wind felt as if it was trying to tell him it would be all "okay." Sean thought he heard even a deer for a second moving out there in the moonlight but it was too fast. Sean then looked to the skies wondering about what would happen to his best friends. Worried beyond anything about them, he just loved them too much to lose them to some Demons from the pits of Hell. He would never lose them again like he almost had. Never ever again, he thought.
He stared up at the sky contemplating while he gentle stroked Anthony's hair and back, eyes finally drooping again. His head began to nod back and forth he could feel sleep wandering over his mind taking hold, but, yet, he could not fall asleep. Sean jerked himself awake still very, very careful not to wake his love and stared at the stars. Sean began to then wander what the stars felt and saw for no reason. He thought if he looked hard enough he could see the shape of the stars and their patterns in the sky. He looked left and right to each star and thought he saw a connection of them making the formation look like someone holding out their arms, getting ready to hug the Earth. He just wandered.
Sean then looked down at the most beautiful thing he thought possible and stroked his hair again then kissed him on the head again. Anthony moaned a little and snuggled against Sean's legs even more. He smiled at his love and kissed him on the head again and attempted to go back to sleep to be ready for the morning. He closed his eyes still gently, lovingly stroking Anthony;s head and back, giving him comfort from any bad dreams.
Sean was almost asleep when he heard a rustling outside their makeshift camp. He jerked his head up, attempting, yet again, not to awaken his love, and looked in the direction of the noise. He had heard a rustling like of a bush that was close behind. He could feel something that made goose bumps on his flesh rise in cold sweat and fear, watching them, closely. He felt that it was a threat to them and knew he had to wake Anthony up. He took a quick loving look at the slumbering beauty in his lap and shook him a little.
Sean placed a hand over his lover's mouth, making sure his murmuring and moaning did not give them notice. He shook Anthony again waking him up this time, but stilling him with his hand over his love's mouth stifling any reply. Sean bent over and whispered in his inquiring ear.
"something out there watching us. I don't think it's anything good either," Sean whispered very quietly in Anthony's ear.
Anthony did not want to risk any more speaking and nodded his head lightly and Sean took away his hand from his mouth. Sean still bent over Anthony like a silent protector, kissed him on the check, making sure he knew that he loved him. Anthony bent his head slightly and kissed Sean back on the check making sure that Sean knew he loved him too.
They heard another sound and froze dead. It was a whispering, like some sort of language, but nothing they had heard of before. It was a sort of chant. Sean heard that and instantly had his instincts take over and closed his eyes, ready to do what he had done in their first flight. He still did not understand this gift he apparently had but knew he had to use it. He even did not know how he knew how to use it.
Sean concentrated knowing, somehow, time was precious. He concentrated the energy he had felt before, but this time he directed it as a sort of protective barrier, of sorts. He felt the power surge in him as before. A naked, thrilling sensation of power and sent it out over all his friends heads.
Anthony could feel the air about Sean ripple and crackle with energy, wondering what Sean was doing this time, in complete stunned amazement. He could tell Sean had a gift. But what kind of gift, he thought briefly.
Sean still did not know what this gift was for and what it was but he just knew when to use it, like it was a sixth sense. He felt the power break from him and it rippled through the air as Sean sat up and screamed a terrible roar full of ferral ferocity, so much anger. A bubble of sorts encircled the four as Sean spent his energy to protect his best friends. And as he did so, a demon looking being screamed its last words and sent a shower of fire at the "sleeping" four. Screaming happily it thought its mission was accomplished, it had killed the demons in disguise, but that was not to be so.
The powerful green burst of flame sped at the four into the makeshift camp exploding in a shower, waking up Morious and Anna in the process, of sparks in every direction of the surrounding thick forested area. Morious had grabbed Anna and rolled on top of her, protecting her with his own body, but both saw and stared in amazement at the powerful display. All five stared in amazement at the human who had made the maigickal shield using nothing but absolute power. They all stared at the human with a snakes eyes, glowing with furious white light, not knowing what to do next. They all just stared in absolute amazement.
Sean could feel his every being quivering with power that he did not know he had and did not know he could even control because controlling it was like second nature to him somehow. He was truly scared at what was inside him now. He did not know what to do.
Anthony saw Sean beginning to collapse. Anthony just got there in time to grab Sean before he feel on his face as Sean's eyes stopped glowing and closed. He helped Sean into his arms, everyone worried about what just happened, wondering what will happen to Sean over that much power displayed. They just stood over him in protection of his unconscious form. Anthony just held him close as Morious stared around to find out what had caused this display and who had helped cause it. He knew there was something out there watching them, but he could not pinpoint it, even with his vampiric eyes.
All three huddled around Sean worried and fretting and looking out for what tried to attack them. At least that's what Anthony had told them. They knew they could not risk making a fire, no matter how cold they were. They really only wanted to protect Sean and make sure nothing happened to him. Anthony was especially worried he would not even take him out of his arms.
By mid-afternoon they began to get even more worried, Anthony practically crying, since Sean had not awakened by now. Anthony had been with him the whole night, he did not even sleep, he just held Sean close and cried and stroked his head, just like Sean would for him. He just kept stroking Sean's head waiting, wishing for him to wake up and be okay. He wanted to have his Sean back. He wanted to hear his Sean's voice again. He wanted to kiss him like they did before, hold each other like they did. He just wanted Sean back. So all three just waited and kept watch over Sean's silent form, making sure he was still alive. All they had to do was wait for him to wake up and then they could move on. But he never woke up, not yet at least. They all knew he was still alive, but they did not know if they would get all of Sean back.
Morious made sure that they were all well protected into the night. He made some make-shift weapons for himself, Anna, and Anthony to hold and be prepared for whatever came at them during the quickening night and to help better protect the unconscious Sean. So they waited some more, weapons in hand.
All four had fallen asleep in each others arms for a while. Exhausted in mind, body, and spirit after their ordeal of seeing all that gore and slaughter around them. Anna and Morious were the first to awaken from their blissful, loving sleep. Anna stretched and kissed Morious yet again on the lips and both moved to get up.
Anna looked around and asked, "Where's Sean and Anthony?"
Morious looked around himself and pointed in-between the trees at the sleeping duo, "There."
Anna looked over and smiled, "Awww that is soo cute!"
Morious just roled his eyes and went over to the sleeping couple, Anna close behind. Morious kicked Anthony with his shoe to wake him up. Anthony jerked awake. He had been sleeping with his head resting on Sean's.
"What," he asked groggily, careful not to wake Sean yet. Anthony rubbed his eyes of sleep and looked up to find Anna and Morious staring down at him, smileing slightly.
"I thought you didn't like Sean that way," asked Anna with a knowing smile on her face.
Anthony just smiled nervously and said, "I did.. I mean I didn't... I don't know what happened."
"Yea you do and your happy so shut up," said Morious smileing misheviously.
Anthony returned the smile and went to wake Sean up from his shoulder. He gently shook him to wake him up. Sean just moaned sleepily and snuggled closer.
"That was the best nappy ever," he said jerking awake upon seeing his two freinds standing over them.
He gave Anthony a fearful look. Fearing that they were all angry with him for some odd reason, but they were far from that. Anthony gave him a loving smile.
"We're not mad or anything if that's what you are thinking," replied Anthony, knowing what he was thinking," at least of all me. I was the one who started it if you remember." Anthony just smiled mischiviosly at Sean and Sean smiled warmly back and snuggled closer.
"Took long enough," said Morious in mock exasperation.
"Uh, hey," exclaimed Anthony in a high-pitched squeely voice. At his hilrious voice they all broke into joyous laughter forgetting what had brough them into the forest in the first place. As the laughter died Sean and Anthony began to get up off the forest floor, holding each others hands, and stretched.
Sean yawned and stretched a little more taking the "kinks" out of his neck and back. He sqeezed Anthony's hand as Anthony squeezed his and the four moved on through the forest.
"Where are we going to go next," asked Anna. The other three just shrugged their shoulders, not knowing what to do.
"I guess we should just keep moving carefully because we don't know what is happening around us. We may even find more people in the forests needing any and all help. And I think it would be best to stay in the forests as much as possible," said Sean.
"Yea that sounds good enough to me," said Morious walking beside him.
"Yea that sounds good to me," said Anthony and Anna.
So with the sound decision they moved on through the forest lover hands entwined with each other, Sean and Anthony, and Anna and Morious. All four not ready for what was happening but comforted by the freindship and love they had for each other. The day was finally turning into night as they approached the edge of the forest. The brush and weeds thick around them offering blessed cover from the horrorable demons.
Sean and Anthony creaped forward using the brush for cover to see what was ahead of them, while Morious stayed with Anna, fidgeting. Morious never liked to see his best freinds go into possible danger without his help, it always drove him mad, but he had to protect the one he loved more than anything.
Sean and Anthony made it to a little break in the thick coating of forest weed and thorns to see.... Nothing? Nothing was in the skies nothing was moving around over the field, no screaming anywhere, just quiet, tense silence.
"Do you hear that," asked Sean.
Anthony stared at him blankly and replied, "Hear what?"
Sean shook his head in disbelief and said, "That's just it.... nothing. Not a single bird singing or bee buzzing, just.... nothing."
Anthony tilted his head a little and looked around and replied,"Your right I don't hear anything at all."
"What is going on," exclaimed Anthony looking to Sean.
"I have no clue," said Sean. Both looked back out to the field and say that another thinckly covered wooded area was close by and knew where they all had to run to, and quickly. Somethings not right, both Anthony and Sean thought at the same time. The duo then ran back to Anna and Morious.
Morious got up from the downed tree him and Anna sat upon anxiously. "What did you see," he asked as soon as Sean came up behind Anthony.
Sean and Anthony said together, "Nothing."
Morious and Anna looked blankely at them not comprehending, or beleiveing, what they said, shocked. All of them had thought the worst happened to everything they ever loved and cared about. Some sign of carcasses and more slaughter struen across the lanscape they came to. But everything was not wrong, no carnage, just nothing but a tense silence.
"Huh," said Anna.
Sean srugged his shoulders and said, "That's right nothing."
"Yea, we didn't see anything that was wrong," continued Anthony.
"Just a tense silence that we felt coming here," finsihed Sean.
Morious and Anna breifly noticed them completeing each others sentences, as usual, they thought, and just...... stared. All four not knowing what was going on and in complete disbelief. All four did not know what to make of it all that had happened in so short of a time.
So they just agreed to stay where they were and wait out the night, to then move on to the next forest and see what had happened. Anna and Morious took a spot across from Sean and Anthony, all cuddling against each other. Sean and Anthony stayed up longer than the other two did, thinking, as normal. This time Sean hugged Anthony close to his chest, smelling his beautiful, sweet, intoxicating scent that he so loved. Anthony just snuggled close himself, loving Sean's gentleness and love. They both felt the chill of the night on them but basked in the warmth of the love they shared. Loving each other so much more.
Sean then kissed Anthony on the back of the head, tenderly. Anthony felt the kiss and smiled with affection. Anthony raisded himself out of Sean's arms and kissed him gently, breathlessly on the lips. He pulled away and took Sean's hand into his and looked into his eyes saying "I love you" with them. Sean just stared breathlessly back at him, not knowing what to do but to say the same thing with his eyes.
Anthony then said, "Sean how did you do what I saw you do?"
Sean knew this was to come up sooner or later and all he could do was tell him the truth.
"I have no idea. I just felt this urge to do what I did and a force jerked through my body.... a power of some sort. I can't explain it, I'm sorry."
Anthony shook his head, "Stop apologizing i know you are you don't need to tell me I know and love you too well not to know. But I think I did notice that force, you seemed to.... ripple kind of. I don't know how to explain it better than that."
"I did," asked Sean, utterly bewildered. Sean turned his head slightly then turned it back to Anthony loving him like no one else seemed to be capable of doing and kissed him on the cheek.
Anthony nodded and said, "Yea you did! But don't worry I'm here right by your side."
The two lovers smiled loveingly at each other, totally in love. Sean then wrapped his arms back around Anthony and snuggled against the back of his head, smelling his scent all over again, totally in bliss, while Anthony snuggled back into Sean's chest.
"I've waited so long to hold you like this in my arms," whispered Sean kissing the back of Anthony's head again.
"I know," whispered Anthony back.
Sean then got curious and asked, "Why did it take you so long to love me?"
Sean could hear Anthony get uncomfortable and heard him sigh before he said, "Because I was afraid of what everyone else would say and what everyone would do to us if we got together. And I didn't want to lose freinds because of it either."
"I don't mean to be mean, but they wouldn't have been your freinds in the first place," replied Sean holding him tighter.
Anthony snuggled closer and said, "I know." Both then left it at that and went into the world of dreams, pleasant dreams that both knew how to take away with a kiss or a hug or a loving caress. Both went to sleep in the chill of night snuggling, loving each other passionately for all eternity.
Sean's gaze roved over the stores shelves. Taking in all the music that he loved most of all. He could see some Hawthorne Heights, Korn, Into eternity, all the bands he and his friends enjoyed listening to.
"See anything you like," asked Morious with a mischievous grin on his face. If he knew his friend as well as he did now he was enraptured by all the choices staring him in the face.
"Um... Maybe," Sean said with a happy grin on his face. He just stared at the Hawthorne Heights in his hands as he looked further at the music, as his other friends came over.
"You guys want to walk around," asked Anthony.
"Yea, let's start out..." said Anna happily.
Sean put back the CD on the shelf and began to have his eyes torn away from all the music facing him, Anna dragging him away.
"Come my minion" said Anna mischievously.
"But... But... But.. music" said Sean in mock sadness.
"Come on.." said Anthony helping Anna drag Sean away from all the "pretty" music. They all, finally, left the store and began to walk through the mall, Sean tagging on behind. He had missed this so much it was heart stopping. He was, finally, with his best friends again. And this time no one will be able to take him away from them again, he thought vehemently, no one.
Sean, Anna, Anthony, and Morious had not been able to be with each other for so long because it, seemed to them, that everyone around them wanted to break them apart for some reason. Sean thought it was out of jealousy, but he could have been wrong. Sean was the hardest hit out of the ordeal because his parents where the major threat to them, that's why he had moved out when he was able to. Now all he had to do was walk from his apartments benefit the mall and meet up with his best friends. He had fun, work, and, most importantly, freedom from persecution from parents. They were, finally, together again.
He watched them now enjoying their laughter again. Basking in their warmth of friendship and love. He just loved them back so much more. Yes, he thought again, no one will keep me from them again. No one.
The four walked down through the mall enjoying being together again in so long of a time. They went then to the bookstore, because of Anna and Sean, and looked at all the books laughing. They could never know any better fun. As they moved from the bookstore they began to make their way across from the store and to the next corridor of the mall. The mall was very small by mall standards but full of different people. The mall had been known to close more stores than the state of Ohio some thought. Because the mall got rid of so many stores than they had come in, and the ones that did come in never stayed too long after.
They made it back that direction through the corridor to the back entrance to the mall and went straight for a bench to talk and catch up, as usual. Sean still followed them instead of his normal front and just watched them all walk in front of him laughing. God, I missed them so much, he thought sadly, happily. I can never wish anything so wonderful to behold. He thought of all the pain and battles and wars he had one just to get back to these moments and he intended to not let them go, or have them taken away.
He continued with those dark thoughts of pain and anguish as they made the way to a bench. He thought of his suicide and of his broken heartedness that he could never place, even to this day, and continued on. Well.... No, he thought, I do know what my broken heart was about. It was his heart breaking for his friends and not being able to see them and his parents, especially his parents. They had never liked his friends from the very beginning for some moronic reason that he wasn't;t about to explain to himself. He knew they never liked his best friends because of his cousins doing their shit, as he put it. He was not blaming them for anything but it was not helpful of them to say the least. His parents never even gave them a chance, especially Anna, his parents had been degrading her even before they had met her.
Sean knew he should not dwell on the past like this, but then again, you have to remember the past to better the future, as the saying went. He knew he should not, for his sanity, but it was too hard not to forget the pain, anger, and humiliation he had gotten from the parents. Oh well he thought, it is all over now.
The four made it just inside the corridor when they heard the screams of shear terror radiating from down to the mall's front entrance, from where they had come from just several minutes before. It jerked the four into full wakefulness and they turned in the direction of the terror streaked screams, but were not able to see what had made the screaming.
"What the hell?" Morious had circled to the back with the rest of them to see what was happening. He gazed down the mall and all were to almost be knocked over in the mad rush to escape whatever it had been that had made them scream. Anna, Morious, Sean, and Anthony just made it out of the way of the trampling mob and just started down the corridor they were going down to get out of they way and be ready to run also.
They walked away from the screaming and running toward the doors. As they closed in on the doors they began to hear screams being cut off, violently. Sean was the first to turn around and he sucked in his breath as he saw what could only be.... Demons. That's not possible yet, he thought, this can't be.
Sean could hear his other friends breaths being sucked in with just as much shock and fear as his own. The demons were small to large. The small ones had faces the caved into their skulls that were exposed, with flesh dripping off of their bodies. The large ones were the most ghastly of the bunch. They had skull-heads, bat-like wings stretched out from behind them, but in the opposite direction, Instead of the bat-like wings pointed up as a "normal" wing should, the wings were pointing down. Their legs and body were muscular and lithe but was black as coal, as the rest of their bodies. What was scary, if the four could see, were the eyes. The eyes reflected their delight in all the panic and death, they were cold, calculating eyes. Eyes full of dark, malicious evil that so much intelligence that only evil could have. Eyes that glowed cold embers.
The four watched in absolute horror as they saw bodies being torn apart by Satan's demonic army. Heads flew off of women, men, and even children. Sean heard his friends gag and about to puke up their disgust.
He turned and said quietly, not to "disturb" the demons, "Run."
It was hard to turn from such blood and gore but this friends did anyway. Bodies still flying apart in gruesome torture, they made it outside. As the stepped outside they could see people all over running away from the creatures as fast as they could, some not making it.
"Were should we run to," asked Morious out-load. He voiced the other threes thoughts at what to do and none had an answer.
"I know let's get to the forest over there," exclaimed Anthony.
"Good idea they seem to be keeping away from the forests," said Anna, still in absolute horror and shock.
They all nodded their ascent and began to run towards the forest to try and get away. They all made sure that they did it without notice of the demons running rampant all around them, slaughtering. As they moved from car to car they were in complete shock at what they were seeing that they did not notice what was behind them.
The two demons shrieked with complete joyful, ethereal cruelty before they attacked. Sean and Morious were the fastest and grabbed their friends. Sean sprang towards Anthony as Morious sprang to Anna. The two knocked their friends down to the ground as the demons soared overhead, smashing into a nearby car. Sean grabbed up Anthony as Morious did for Anna and helped them to run.
Anna was unable to run as fast as the other three because of her crutches so Morious gave her a piggy-back rid instead, Sean dragging Anthony behind hand-in-hand. The four moved as fast as possible toward the, seemingly, endless field, to the forest. As they came upon the forest they heard angry screeching this time and knew the demons were angry that their prey were escaping from them.
The demons speed after the four with all do haste. Claws extended and ready to render their flesh asunder for their haste from their mindless slaughter and fun. They could not allow this to happen.
Sean could hear them getting closer and ever closer to them, but knew they may not make it to the forest in time to escape. Sean stopped suddenly and angrily, letting go of Anthony's hand.
"Run damn it," he screamed at Anthony to get him to move. Anthony stopped and turned to see why Sean stopped and said what he said. Sean could see the fear for his life in his eyes, but could see that Anthony was too stubborn to move without a fight, without helping one of his best friends. Sean just stared back and gave him a quick pleading stare to run, but Anthony would not budge one little bit.
"Damn it," Sean said quietly, seeing Anna and Morious stopping to see what was going on.
Sean screamed at Morious, "Run save Anna!"
He took one last look at his Anthony, pleading, and turned to face the demons caught up. He raised his hands and said forcefully, quietly, "Die." Sean could feel an alien feeling and, still, did not know why he had stopped in the first place, saying what he was saying either, but the effect was amazing.
As Sean said "Die," he raised his hands and pointed toward the demons, angry all the way. He could feel an alien force of absolute power rising inside himself that he never knew was there. The power jerked through his body sending sparks through his body making him want to jerk himself with the effect. The power was also blissful and familiar, somehow. He never knew what he did. He said yet again, "Die," and felt the power give way. He forced the power toward the demons screaming, with now, murderous joy.
Sean said the word on last time and felt at the breaking point and shot the power toward the demons. A beam of mighty white light wreathed in flame shot out of his hands and straight at the shrieking demons. The white fire-light struck the demons turning the shrieks into dieing fury, incinerating the demons instantly.
Sean and, especially, Anthony stared at the empty spot were the demons used to be in complete shock and amazement. Sean heard more screams and remembered Anna and Morious were ahead of them inside the forest and safety. He jerked out of his shock and turned toward Anthony and jerked him back to reality. And hand-in-hand again dragged him to the forest and safety.
Sean and Anthony ran silently and caught up with their friends. Morious and Anna jerked toward the sound of Sean and Anthony entering the glade-like clearing, fearing what it was, and relaxed to see it was them.
"Wait.. What happened to you two," asked Morious, concern in his voice. He and Anna could see the shocked look on their faces.
Anna asked this time, "What happened to those... those.. things," waving her hand in the direction the two had come.
"I don't know," both said in still shock. They looked to each other, finally, with evident amazement, sharing something between them, a "secret."
"What did happen," asked Anthony.
Sean just shrugged his shoulders and said," I don't know sweetie."
Anthony just looked at him in disbelief at the statement, knowing Sean knew something. Both knew each other too well to hide anything from each other. They both always did share a bond.
The four just elapsed into silence too shocked and afraid to do any more talking and sorting. Morious and Anna snuggled close to each other, full of love, on a downed tree laying across the little glade-like clearing. While Anthony and Sean broke apart to different "corners" and thought out what had just happened in several minutes they had been together. They could still hear all the screaming but tuned it out too disturbed to hear it any more.
Morious and Anna began to cuddle closer and kiss passionately their love, trying to give each other support over what just happened. Sean and Anthony knew their cue and both went off deeper into the forest, but still in ear and eye shot of the kissing duo. Both had to talk.
The two stopped next to two trees, leaning against them, taking each other in. Worried about what to do next. They needed to talk before anything else happened. Sean could tell when Anthony felt something.. anything, from anger, to pain, to happiness, to love, he could fell it all, still did not know why, but could. He saw something in Anthony's eyes, fear? No more than that. Terror, shear terror. Sean instantly was worried and concerned for his best freind.
"What's wrong," asked Sean, worry seeping from his tone. Anthony turned his head toward Sean. Sean saw a difference, a madness somehow in his eyes.
"I'm scared Sean," Anthony said with tears brimming the edges of his eyes. Sean instantly gathered him into his embrace, seeing and hearing the emotion in his eyes and voice as he spoke. Anthony hugged him back just as fiercely, both not wanting to let go of each other, fearing the worst, both crying on each others shoulders.
The two hugged for what seemed like sepal hours, but was only several minutes. Anthony began to break the hug, but as he did something surprising happened, to both. Anthony leaned in to kiss Sean himself. Anthony did not know what was going on with him, but he just kissed Sean!
The two scared each other but slowly and gently began to kiss more comfortably. The kiss was gentle, warm, yet passionate. It deepened and deepened into a kiss that took the breath away because of the joy and love issuing forth from each others kiss. They kissed with love and beauty for several minutes. Anthony pushed Sean up against the tree a little and began to run his hands along Sean's back as Sean moved his hands gently through Anthony's hair. Both deeply in love and never realizing what they were doing. They just did it. A kiss of splendor leading into a deeper love of each other. A deeper passion. A burying desire for the warmth both gave to each other's embrace and stroking. Lasting all for what seemed as an eternity. Neither ever wanting to let go of each other the worst. Yet still not realizing it.
Anthony was the first to break the kiss and moved away from Sean and wishing he now never kissed him, knowing the feelings Sean had for him anyway, knowing he had them as well, but wanting to deny it. Anthony still did no let go of Sean though but held him still gazing into his dark brown eyes a little longer before both caught back their breaths, scared. The two just, finally, accepted what happened a bit more and sat down against the tree in each others arms.
Sean rested his head on Anthony's shoulder and cuddled close and they both cracked a blissful, nervous smile. Both closed each others eyes and went into stressful sleep, in each others arms, comforting away the terrible nightmares.
