She discovered him long after she had actually stopped looking, the way she found a lot of her prey, online. He took her quite by surprise, which, was unusual in itself.
This one was different… she’d been stalking him for a while now, and even from the very beginning, after the initial shock of seeing him - he felt … familiar, somehow.
He didn’t do much after dark, that she could see – mostly back and forth between the gym, sometimes at the dojo, and home. He was on the computer a lot, all fairly routine, yet he intrigued her. She was more than just curious, she was fascinated.
The feel of him was exciting; somehow comforting and exhilarating at the same time. He made her senses tingle. He was no hunter, but this one was dangerous, she could tell. Dangerous and familiar.
Who were these people that came and went? What was he about? She followed him endlessly, even into his dreams. She wanted to know everything about him. He started to sense her, and sometimes he drew back, cautious. This one was damaged... hurt. It somehow angered her, and she didn’t understand it. This feeling, this protectiveness, was new to her. He held back much because of his pain and insecurity. She felt possessive already; though she had no right to be - no one would hurt him like that again…
What were these feelings he had awakened? In parts of her she thought were dead… and the stirring, the desire? She needed him, wanted him ... as an equal.
Sometimes, now more often, as she thought of him, she would whisper his name. She could feel his subconscious respond sometimes. They were connected. It gave her chills. Even in her resting state, he was present in her mind.
She followed him, night after night, patiently waiting, secretly wanting, more…
In his house, she touched his things, memorized his scent, even growing so bold as to lay beside him, as he slept. His emotions were like an ocean, deep and unfathomable, changing like the tides. She let his energy wash over her in waves, making her want to drown.
He scared her and excited her like nothing ever had before. She stared at him often, the deep, soulful eyes, his ripe sensual lips – she wanted to steal a kiss from him so bad, but in her heart, she knew that it had to be given and once it was…
she could never turn back.
It was always so hot here, for some reason, but she ignored it. She eyed his neck longingly. His naked body was so beautiful to her, irresistible. She touched his skin, and smelled his sweat, sometimes daring to run her hand through the hair on his chest. Oh how she wanted him. She sometimes felt like she was dizzy or spiraling out of control with all the familiar feelings and new sensations that he created in her. “Is that why they call it falling?” She wondered…
The longing she felt was like an ache that would not go away, even when she was with him, she wanted so much more. The vein on his neck sang to her. She hovered over it, so close… and yet so far. She could take it, she knew, but like his heart - she longed for it to be given, freely.
It was not her place beside him … yet.
