We all know the stories of saints,
The virtues they represent.
We all know the idolization of the sinners,
and the pain they hold content.
yet few know of the average man.
Their morals unsung,
Their sins unstrung.
But even they should hold song upon high
For to disavow them is but a lie.
Do we hear them when they cry?
Do we notice them when they walk on by?
Or do we acknowledge them upon high?
The tower babel was made by the average man.
Together they created what nobody else can.
Forever separate they became.
Their greatest success,
Their furthest fall.
Was from something that was more than just a wall.
Together they almost accomplished
their way to the heavenly hall.
I sat upon my throne to watch in awe,
as they began to scrape and claw.
Together they stood as gods,
divided they still go against all odds.
Can you beckon thy rallying call?
Or do you see their masterpiece as just a rounded wall?
I sing out to the mortal man.
To let them know together they can.
Some call me a monster,
Some call me a madman.
Some see me as a freak,
Some think I am insane.
But as I burrow into their brain.
They see the truth and it is taken grain after grain.
I infect the sane, I bury myself into their brain.
I sit in my throne,
In a realm all of my own.
Watching as angels battle,
and demons become cattle.
The devils are like babies with a rattle.
The seraphs are ridden with no saddle.
The Nephilim below me,
In me they see what they wish to be.
Mortals hold no tongue,
For what I am they have not sung,
Their powers on me can not be rung.
Once imprisoned and twice removed,
Within Purgatory my claws once grooved.
Belial,
Lucifer,
The Divine,
What do they have in common?
Fear... for what I have become.
It was their war,
That such a child was bore.
So when you hear the chains,
Make sure that they are simply soulless remains.
For when my chains sing,
Torment I will bring.
Even angels sin,
it is because of that I can win.
Can you feel my pain?
When I drag your soul to be slain?
There is only one of me,
The most there can ever be.
I've tainted hearts,
I've shackled body parts.
I am free,
Something you all wish to be.
For I can walk into the light,
Without hindrance of sight.
I can walk into the dark,
Like it's a stroll in the park.
You stench of lust,
My chains run with rust.
Feed me,
And you will fell the bliss of true eternity.
