Vampire Variations
03:09 Aug 17 2007
Times Read: 694
The variation which sets each vampire apart is their choice, and not dictated by genetics. Some have evolved spiritually through incarnations, most began 10,000 years ago and longer. They have been in the shadows in all cultures, and rarely make themselves known to anyone but their own kind. Most are elder vampires due to their ancient origins. Some are associated with the gods and goddesses of Khem (predynastic Egypt), Babylon, Persia, and Sumer. They have magickal abilities, are associated with demons (who are the aformentioned ancient divinities ) and a blood lust which began when it was common to drink the blood of your slain enemy.
Because everyone plays very loose with the definition, anyone who believes they are a vampire is , by their own standards, a vampire. Most assume a persona similar to characters in " Vampire the Masquerade", which created a whole world populated by vamps, weres, and other preternatural species.
