Iata o alta povestire zen, pe care o postez ca raspuns:
Centimetru timp, metru nestemată
Un nobil i-a cerut lui Takuan, un învăţător de Zen, să-i sugereze cum să-şi petreacă timpul. Zilele i se păreau foarte lungi pe când îşi îndeplinea slujba şi şedea ţeapăn, primind omagiile celorlalţi.
Takuan a scris opt hieroglife chinezeşti şi i le-a înmânat:
“Ziua cea de azi nu va mai fi vreodată.
Preţul clipei este cât o nestemată.”
