Getting rid of the material

Time to put something here as well. Part of finding my voice is about letting go of what is holding me back.

Sometimes the things that hold us back are material, sometimes it is people.....but mostly it is ourselves.

But for now....I have been working on getting rid of material things. Furniture, clothing, and junk in general have been gotten rid of. Things that did not match or were outdated and no longer fit with who I am. I am not done but progress has been made. Lots of progress.

I have a new living room set that is more adult than anything I have owned. It is matched and of contemporary design. The entertainment center and tv smack of solidity, beauty and quality. All things that I want to be and am on the road to being.

I am working on other parts of where I live. It needs to reflect who I am now.....not who I was 20 years ago.

In so doing.....I am letting go of the injured, scared, non-trusting youth and embracing the expierenced, passionate, more adjusted adult.

Yeah me!

yeah you! go girl! a great idea, its as theraputic as having your mind spring-cleaned and de-cluttered.

now, what i want to get rid of is all the essays, reports and other print-outs , which incidently are all stored electronically, but theres something satisfying about seeing hard copies...oh well, its bonfire time soon...
