More ER visits for me due to migraines, this one hasn't abated in well over a month now and they put me on medicine specifically designed for this. I did find out that my first visit the doctor didn't listen to me and gave me a treatment for acute headache, which according to the second doctor is different enough they use a modified cocktail of medicine than what they give for migraines. That is why instead of my migraine disappearing as it should, it had a "rebound" effect, inducing a much worse variation once the medicine wore off.

Since the medicine they've given me isn't working I'm going to be referred to a neurologist and we will go from there. It's looking like I'll be trying out beta blockers to see if I can get it under control.

I haven't been feeling well as of late, hence my lack of activity. I've had a migraine that's lasted for the last month straight, the intensity varying every day. Some days it's only pounding slightly and I'm able to go about my day if I take 4-6 Excedrin, while I've had others where it's so blindingly painful that I have to keep my right eye closed and tears flow uncontrollably for hours.

I was in the ER last week just before HorrorCon and spent a good 8 hours there; they were supposed to do a CT scan but the doctor opted to pump me full of drugs, getting me really high then sending me home. Apparently they were filled due to an accident that caused the Pomona hospital to overflow to the one I was at so he didn't want to run any tests that he felt weren't necessary.

Now we reach today; my migraine is still here, I can't move my head since turning my head causes something in my right side of my neck to induce extreme pounding in my head. I can feel every heartbeat in my skull and eye; only reason I can function is because I'm on some really strong medicine but the pain is always there. Hopefully when I go in tonight for them to do the CT scan they will finally figure out what is wrong with me.
