Apologies to anyone I may have ignored, it's been the craziest few days. I don't even know how to put my words in order so that they make sense. I'm amazed at how I keep so busy when, in reality, I haven't done a thing and nothing much has changed. I've never taken a mild catastrophe so well. I'd say the apathy has gained more ground than its allowance but it's not even that--it's something greater, healthier and yet more insidious. The fact that, at this moment, that makes sense to me some how offers a mild sort of solace.

Lost the ID? No problem, use the debit card to order a new birth certificate-oh, debit card fell out of the pocket? No problem, use cell phone to call Chase to get replacement-threw the phone in the washer? Craaaaaaaap.

You know, all things considered, it should have been a craptastic day but I talked to my bank guys, they fixed the problem right quick (*), no fuss no muss. I needed to upgrade all 3 things anyway, I'm going to say I subconsciously knew what I was doing. I have enough saved to get a pretty shmancy new phone now too. I'm feelin' prettay, prettay, prettay, prettay gewd.

*an advantage to using the same bank my boss uses for the business being that all the employees know me by name and didn't care about the lack of ID
