I'm attempting to revisit my life-size stencil portrait project. It's a huge undertaking and I never get too far off the ground with it but it always excites me to be engaged in this particular endeavor, it combines two of my very favorite things; stencil making and my friends. I posted a status update about it and currently I have my ex's surly lapdog of a friend to volunteer (I guess it was just too metal to pass up... METALICA!). Hopefully I'll scrounge up some more support before the next weekend hits and I can really sink my teeth into it.

"Whatever Works"

Two words to save my life and sum up my completely scrambled, hypocritical, nonsensical yet steadfastly blunt, volatile view of it.

Overall rated as a below average film by most critics, Whatever Works is a recently released movie directed by the (arguably, and preferably not with in my journal comments) infamous and (inarguably) talented Woody Allen, starring Larry David, of Seinfeld and Curb Your Enthusiasm.

Last weekend I was finally able to spend some time with my long neglected best friend Mike. After going through the unpleasant business of telling him (and later on the rest of our motley crew) that another man was taking me away he showed me this film. He was very excited about it and said that I was the only one who could see it like he did. And I believe that I have.

I can't quite put into words why the sentiment presented by this movie strikes such a cord with me but I think that it's that automatic mute response that has all to do with it. Mike and I are very animated and free flowing with our debates on the human condition-Hell, with all of our conversations. Mostly this is do to the fact that we think in very similar patterns and have an extremely sturdy (and hard won) bond of trust between us but other than that we're roughly the same age and experience level when it comes to life in general. When it comes to the intellectual debates I have most often lately I often feel out ranked and under manned. Outside of work and the occasional brief social engagement, MrD is the one I spend my time with, talk with and in regards to intellectual debate few can trump this man. Really, it's spectacular to see him in action but as I stare with a moronic dazzle in my eyes I am struck completely dumb in response. Other than the requisite, "Yes, dear, I agree, I couldn't have said it better myself, very true, I can't argue with that,"s that is. This isn't always the case but enough to make me (and, I'll begrudgingly admit, my ego) feel more than a little trampled. I can't get my head around what I want to say, all those shades of gray scurry from my attempts to consolidate them and I'm left grasping at nothingness.

...Perhaps I had a few more words on this than I initially accounted for. I guess what I'm trying to say is that sometimes, now matter how much we moan about cliches, someone else simply says it better.

Whatever works.

Apparently I'm unconsciously projecting simply irresistible cyber-pheromones that have set the hearts and loins of the VR men (and a few women) ablaze! lol I have no idea what's going on but within the past week I have received 8 cyber requests/lewd or audaciously flirtatious messages and it's surpassing the point of flattery, now bordering on harassment.

I think I'm going to take up a friend's advice to turn Lurking on for a while until the raging torrent of testosterone has had time to settle into a more sedate trickle.

Honestly, I don't have any suggestive pictures on my profile or any other sort of come hither content, I'm not particularly that high in status and don't hold an admin position, I have two pictures of my beloved on my profile, one in which I'm actually kissing his face! It's a mystery but for now I'll simply politely stress the fact that I'm blissfully taken and haven't even the slightest tick of a wandering eye and go about my merry way.

:) thank you. Perhaps it's merely my linguistic prowess that has the boys beckoning? That must be it, my bodacious brain.

**chuckles** They are either taken with your linguistic skills or have no idea what you are talking about and are loosely translating your words to, "hey let's cyber"....

Bodacious... now that's a word I haven't heard in a while. *laughs*

That's totally it.

They want you for your brain, plain and simple. ^_^

I am wondering if it is at all related to your change of profile picture. Your lips do look rather voluptuous in that shot, and I have serious doubts these people are studying your profile...*read: paying attention in the slightest* haha.

If that is not the case, I am all out of idea.

:p I agree, you are quite lusciously pouty in that picture. I would definitely call come hither on that!

I tried on a pair of pants I left at my mother's from when I was thirteen. They fit. Today's going to be a good day.

I wouldn't if I were you, I know what she can do

She's deadly, man, she could really rip your world apart

Mind over matter, ooh, the beauty is there, but a beast is in the heart
