Into The Abyss

To the edge,

Against the ledge,

I'm the victim of my crimes.

Soul restrained,

heart in chains,

how familiar the ties that bind.

I can't bend,

I've reached the end,

how did it all come to this?

Fatal blow,

just let me go,

and I'll fall into the abyss.

I pushed too far,

I'm cut and scarred,

and I've lost all I know.

This hollow disease,

I'm on my knees,

I've gone as far as I can go.

Hearing empty sounds,

I look down,

and nothing looks back at me.

Against the wall,

let me fall,

just please set me free.

Future's past...

is now outcast,

let's watch it fade and die.

What we seek...

goes dark n' bleak,

as we watch it all pass by.

Here comes the end of this....

Here I go into the abyss.....

With one more venomed kiss....

let me fall in the abyss.....

I like this poem a lot...

It makes me think of the very dark side of love.

The side that people don't usually see until it is too late.
