23 And if any mischief follow, then thou shalt give life for life,
24 Eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot,
25 Burning for burning, wound for wound, stripe for stripe.
I don't particularly care what faith you are from, i just want to know, what's this mean to you? either be it a religious meaning, or just a meaning in itself. what does it mean to you?

It means this was the law for some people many generations ago, when humans were infants in their understanding...we have grown since then.
