Ink: The Werewolf Outcast- Chapter Two

03:05 Sep 20 2011
Times Read: 502

It was hot. Hot and dry and bugs all over the place. And I didn't give a single crap. It was in my genes to be able to withstand cold and hot temperatures. I was still sweaty.

"Ok, Megan," Dad said, "your tent is up, go set up inside and then come fishing at the pond!"

I sighed at the fact it was an Elodoth Night. "Alright..." I said grudgingly.

"What is up with you today Megan?" Mom asked, "Yesterday you wanted to go camping on your own, but now that we've tagged along your all bummed out!"

"I prefer to be alone while camping," I scoffed. It was true. Especially for tonight. I went into my tent and set my crap up and then followed my Dad's scent to the pond.

It was already dark after dinner. And I was on edge. The force that was trying to make me lose control was getting stronger with every breath of Elodothic air I breathed in. I was getting the familiar pain in my joints and the whispering of my ancestors in my ears. The scents were stronger than ever. And I looked completely normal.

After a big yawn, Dad said, "Whelp, time for everyone to turn in."

He never spoke a kind word to me again.

In the distance, to far for normal ears to hear, a wolf howled. It was probably a werewolf too. And of course that made the force strong enough to overtake me. I fell to the ground writhing and screaming in agonnizing pain. Immediatly, my parents dragged me to the house, which wasnt but a quarter mile away.

I managed not to phase until i was shoved onto the couch, Yet before my parents could call the cops, I began to grow razor sharp claws and long teeth. It hurt so much... The hair grew longer and turned black... I heard a scream... Everything grew... Everything hurt... Bones popped, muscles tore and reattatched themselves. My black eyes... Oh I felt them change... I felt them turn silver and regain their burning look... I heard my dad pull a knife from the counter. And Then my chest hurt more as my father sought to release me from the ''demon spirit within me'' as he cut a cross into my chest. I then heard sirens. Police cars. My parents ran from the house.

And somehow in the chaos, I regained my control and it all went back to normal. My Quickheal wasn't working quite yet, so I still bled. I ran out back and climbed onto the roof. From the roof I jumped into the trees and escaped. I ran yet again until I could run no further. Still bleeding, I curled up under a tree and shivered until I fell asleep.

Ink: The Werewolf Outcast- Chapter One

I was on the couch watching Animal Planet when my adopted parents walked in. I sighed and clicked on the news, knowing it would get turned to it anyways. Me being thirteen and them being like ancient, it ends up like that.

They walked in with a few grocerys and Mom put them up while Dad had walked into the living room and sat down in the recliner.

"So," he asked, "how was your day?" He looked at the tv and then back to me.

"Ok, I guess," I said. I got up and walked back to my room. I really don't like being with other people.

"Ok then," he said.

"Megan," Mom said, "Why don't you help with dinner?"

I have been going by Megan ever since that night. Ever since I became an Outcast. And, of course, my family doesn't know my past or what I am. Atleast, my real past. I should also explain that I am an Elodothic Werewolf, meaning every half- moon I am put under a serious force that is hard to control. I can be forced phase into my wolf form. And if that happens on a half moon, well lets just say it won't be to great. And every half moon since that night, I have been able to control it enough. But I have learned from past expierience that if your forced to phase, it is one of the most excrutiatingly painful actions any werewolf can do. And controling the serious force set on me isn't that confortable either.

"I'll pass," I said glancing at a calender, "Can I go camp in the woods tonight?" They always say yes. And I always ask on an Elodoth Night, A.K.A. Half Night.

"Oh," she said,"not tonight dear, we are going camping together tomorrow, so I'll need your healp tonight with packing."

Crap. Not good. Control isn't easy. I glared at her for a second and turned away to head back to my room. I shut the door and turned on loud music. Music is calming. Music is good. Being with normal people on Elodoth Night is not good. Now I have a feeling of dread and despair. I think my secret might be given away soon. And I don't have contact to any of my kind, so no one to help me...

Ink: The Werewolf Outcast- Prolouge

Times Read: 511

"I'm sorry Dad!" Ink said, cowering beneath her father.

"It is to late for sorry, Ink," her father's voice boomed above her, "You have prooved to be dishonorable to the Ghost Pack."

"Dad, I..." Ink gasped through chocking tears, "I can change my answer! All I... All I have to say is... is yes!"

"To late." Her father said with eyes as cold as dry ice, "You will forever be known as an outcast. Leave the moutain immediatley. You have until dawn to be away from here. After that, I will come and hunt you down myself, if you are near."

Terrified by her father's threat, Ink ran. She ran untill her paws could carry her no further. She sat panting in her new environment. She had run all the way to a town. Still shaking in fear, Ink let her glossy black fur slip away into pale white skin. Her hair turned a mousy brown. She shrinked untill she looked to be about the age of eight. She turned to the town and used her senses to find her way to a police station.
