Just when you think you have mother nature figured out she throws you another curve ball from left field and it smacks you square in the head. This time we get it in the shape of a tornado...in eastern NC. What in the hell? I mean seriously this kind of thing never happens here. We get hurricanes regularly but that's not the point. Tornado's come with little warning and considering nearly half of ENC is on the flood-plane, no one has a basement, very little of the population had somewhere to hide. Not like it would have helped mind you.



One of the final noted twisters hit only three miles from where I work and one of my residents put it the right way:: Never have I seen this, of my entire life something like this has never happened. And its not something you expect either.



My thoughts and prayers go out to the friends and families effected by the storms that killed so many.
