I have decided that the conveniences of the modern world are a bit of a problem. Allow me to explain if you will.



THEN: There were no cars, as a result you had to walk 5 miles to school, you had great thighs and calves and you were never behind in your cardio.



NOW: Now you drive 2 minutes to go the same 5 miles and you are probably eating a cheese burger on the way, as a result you are over weight and at risk for heart attacks.



THEN: Then you had to hunt to eat, or barter for what you wanted with skills your parents or a mentor taught you. You had to work for it but it payed off.



NOW: Fast, cheap, and easy...greasy, fatty, and loaded in sodium. $1 for the worst thing on earth for your heart.



THEN: You started out young learning a trade skill, your parents bartered with a mentor to get your training or they taught you for free. You get good and begin to make a living out of it. You train an apprentice and you retire.



NOW: You start at age 5 and don't stop till age 18, after that you can go for more schooling or you can go work at a fastfood chain, after 5 more years or more you can move on to being a doctor or a lawyer and work for the rest of your life in a career that is no longer so nice while struggling to pay off student loans.





I digress, get off your ass. Go do some real work and don't complain when you can't seem to get rid of your cellulite and why your doctor says if you don't loose weight and de-stress that you are going to die.
