She walks on broken glass and doesn't feel a thing

She walks to feel the pain that it will bring.

It brings her nothing, despite her hopes and fears.

She walks on needles, but she can't feel them anymore.



The pain she holds inside mind

She's hoping will swallow her with time

She's waiting for the day it falls apart.

She's wondering when the pain will start.



Inside she feels no joy, no pain,

Could care less about the sunshine or the rain

But the empty coldness hurts her so

But still she wants it not to go.



Her face she hides behind a mask

No one wants to know or bothers her to ask.

But it's there like the holes inside her soul

And forever, just like the bitter cold.



She reaches out looking for something

Or perhaps the pain that it will bring

She wants the light, but not the heat of day.

She wants forever just to fade away.
