So an update in the life of teaching;
So I've mentioned before the school informed me that my students lost financial aid for my program and that it would be moving to workforce development.
Fast forward to yesterday:
I have been given a letter from the college informing me that my program will be discontinued due to a reduction in workforce and my job will be terminated May 9th.
FML!!! And this all started with the Dept of Ed not funding my program, and now those bad thoughts I had about that shit, now have come to fruition of the dept of Ed being dismantled.
So word of advice, Be careful what you wish for, it will come true.
I have other things to vent about, but it's irrelevant and a moot point now. I'm in IDGAF mode after having multiple mental breakdowns yesterday into this morning.

Students trying to get grants/loans for college is all but a dream now since no one is being spared funding termination. I told my kids on the plus side, they won't have 200k plus student loans to pay off if they don't enroll. All this funding cuts are making high schoolers think twice about college. I would hate life right now trying to decide with the new reality sinking in.
I'm so sorry that your job is being directly affected by DOE. Bites all the way around for teachers and students. I just don't understand the end game here.
