Now I'm in an apartment and considering it's my first one and I'm in college I'm pretty proud of it, have the top 2 floors of a duplex, share it with 3 people and have my own room with plenty of space. I have to pay a couple utilities and rent now and I'm doing it all without help from my mom and I only turned 19 about 2 months ago. It's rough sometimes and I'm still adjusting to that and the whole idea that if I were to fight with my roommates I can't just bitch to my landlord and have a new place to go with in a matter of hours. That and we have so much more freedom than the dorms like windows that can open and we're allowed to have things like beer and candles and no one can limit who we have over and when.
I'm about half way through college, one that probably 50% of people drop out of with in the first 3 quarters (I'm in my 4th) and so far I'm doing pretty well as far as grades go as well. What I make in lab class is great and I have fun even though it starts at 7AM this quarter.
As far as concert venues go Pittsburgh is great and I'd say I've adjusted decently from the small, isolated town of Somerset. I don't think I want to spend my whole life here though, most likely going to head more towards the woods, a beach, or both if possible. It costs $2.50 to take the bus one way and parking is ridiculously expensive even if I had a car so that's one main turn off/issue but other than that I'd like to live in a city who doesn't start to shut down at 6pm and isn't completely asleep by 11pm (when the point closes)
