I learnt something new today; Not everyone is going to think that the Vampire Community gives a rats ass about anything other than themselves, and it's a shame!
Let's just say I finally reached one of my big contacts returning her call. As soon as I mentioned "vampire ball" she said "Oh" with such loss of interest that it sickened me down to my bones. She was polite enough to get name address and website, that was it. Not even a please repeat your name for me.
I finished it off before being hung up on 'if there's anything you need please feel free to contact me.' I think I barely heard a thank you.
That was it? My first impression was "It's gone better." So now I'm taking this even more personally. Not only to do this for family and friends who have survived/died from Cancer, but also to prove to a few peoples who stereotype that a Vampires Ball can be every bit as successful as a regular gala event.
That's MY two cents.
