I have been accepted as a transplant recipient. I actually feel pretty good... the pain comes but not as often and I am sleeping a little better (as I type this at 5:30 in the morning cause I can't sleep! LOL) I don't miss not drinking at all actually. So that is good! That was easy to give up... its the potato chips I am having a hard time with! No salt diet! WTF!!! Oh well... time to pay big time for the past! My man does't drink so that certainly makes things easier. Outta site outta mind. Although I still go to my pub and don't find it a problem to have juice.



Last trip to specialist had them taking 17 vials... YES 17!! of blood at once... for testing. Apparently I have gained a tiny amount of liver function back but since I have less then 5% functioning nothing really helps. But at least its not getting worse!



I will be going for a liver biopsy sometime in January... that I am not looking forward to. Apparently it hurts and you can bleed out, get major infection or it can spread the cancer to other organs! Great!!!! Why then do they have to do it since I have been accepted anyway? I must ask when I go for next check up in couple of weeks.



I am staying positive and refuse to live any other way than thinking I will be just fine! I don't think the whole concept as really sunk in yet as I have no basis to compare an organ transplant operation to! I think I will be scared as they are rolling me into surgery and by then I will be okay to be scared... 6 hour operation and a month stay in hospital followed by months of meds... oh joy! I just want to know what this scar is gonna look like!!!!!



Well so far thats what is up! I have a great new place and new man and everything is great except this little cancer thing! lol... But as I say I can't die cause heaven don't want me and hell is afraid I will take over!!!
