I walk softly through the gate
The crowd bustling quickly around me
Like a stream around a stone
My pulse quickens with every step
Searching the people waiting there
The noise grows as other find who they want
I become nervous not finding him
Eyes flicking frome happy face to face
Where is he, where is the one who has my heart
He swore to be here
Waiting for me
To be by my side
Tears begin to fall softly down my cheeks
I stand alone an island in this sea of happiness
Sad crying and forsaken
I stand silenly as the throng flows away
My faith in love dies as the din subsides
I awaken from the nightmare still crying
I am alone as always before
A wolf without a mate
It is my path I guess my destiny
Never to have my perfect meeting.
