So today i got my mail and the mailman had yet another surprise to deliver to me.

I live in private let house and some landlords have deals and such like they will agree to pay the water rates, council tax bill that sort of thing.

Well when i moved in here near enough 5 years now not once have i had to pay for a T.V. licence so made the assumption given that i pay water rates and part council tax he was taking care of the T.V. licence.

But apparently not as it turns out he had only bought the property a few months before i had moved in and the previous occupant and owner was a pensioner who was moving to retirement home.

So the pensioner had passed away about six weeks ago as i found out whilst getting a taxi up the road and the driver is somehow related to this pensioner.

Well you can imagine to my horror and surprise when i see a letter coming through address to the currnet occupant. So i open it to find that this pensioner must have had a direct debit system going as they tried to renew the licence but that they couldnt with the bank details no longer being avaliable.

So now i have to wait till monday to explain this away to the licencing service. Should be good and cant wait to see what their reaction will be.

What is Council tax and a TV license? Sorry I live in another country so I am not sure what that all means.

council tax is used in the U.K. to help provide a service part funded by local governments.

T.V. licencing is required for recieving broadcasting and some radios as well.

Well spring has sprung well and truely here in Scotland. I awoke to my eyes leaking like sprinklers and a stuffy nose. Its not an appealing look and thankful i dont have to impress and cover it up.



Its days like today though that i could do without nature reminding me.

Plus i know i will be in a bit of mood come tomorrow and would just like to skip the day and move onto Monday.



If anyone has a time machine please feel free to let me borrow it :)

Todays post had me in a flutter.

Im waiting for a response from a high school that i have requested for my eldest son to attend.

They had responded last months letter of the request and had also explained that cut off would be at the beginning of March.

So when i had seen this letter on my mat this morning im stood their thinking ok this is it this is the results of hopefully some good news.

So to calm my nerves i boiled the kettle and made a cuppa rushed upstairs and got dressed.

Came back down and drank my tea with two hands shaking with excitement.

So im opening the letter eyes peeking through eyes not sure if they are ready to look at the answers and fumbled open the letter.

It was another curtesy letter telling me that the high school was having an open parents meeting next week and that i was invited to attend and meet people.

However it dont tell me if he is in or not?

Now im wondering if i attend does that base and add to their discission or not cause if so.........my sons future is screwed lol
